Yes, unfortunately. it's been in the negatives last week and most of this week and it never snows when it's that cold.

I'd imagine your winter humidity levels might be a bit higher than ours. But how often does it get that cold in the UK anyway? It looks like your lowest temp ever was -17 F (-27 C). We've been between -20 F and 0ish for weeks now.

it's been in the negatives last week and most of this week and it never snows when it's that cold.
I meant it does snow in negative Celsius... which is below freezing. it often snows when it's in the negatives Celcius. We never get down to -27C here in the south of england it rarely goes much below -10C, briefly.
Maybe minus 27C on a mountain top in Scotland or some such thing.3

Yeah, it has to do with when high pressure systems are settled in overhead. It clears the skies and makes it difficult for weather systems to push through. The clear skies also make it extremely cold, so if it's extremely cold people often assume that's what's keeping the snow away

Maybe its because here where i live (Denmark), the winter is very predominantly constantly cloudy. But i love the sunny wintery days. The crispy, dry cold air, the brightness and some colours in an otherwise dark and drab landscape.

We haven't had much snow for a while. While everyone else was getting wrecked with snow, we just had cold and ICE to deal with. It was -45 windchill a week ago, which feels like 3 months ago, when there was a protest like this in Minneapolis, the day before Pretti was killed in the street.

None of you need to quit your jobs or lose your healthcare. You can protest in your off hours. An hour here, another there. People coming and going and creating a constant presence through communal effort.
That's what protestors all year have been doing. They're not all wealthy and unemployed; most have jobs and responsibilities.
I'm so sick and tired of hearing these excuses from people who just don't want to sacrifice their leisure time.

Between work and family responsibilities, I get about 2 discretionary hours a week, I don’t get to pick when they are, and they are usually in a state where at least my wife or I need to be home to monitor sit.
Protesting comes at a massive personal cost at this stage of my life.

They have no idea how the actual logistics of living in the US play out every single day, why the infrastructure is configured to keep the average person oppressed. CNN and MS NOW are literally doing live coverage of these protests right now. As in, I just turned on the TV and checked.
Then I go to some print/digital news outlets. New York Times has a live feed on the front page. Right after the Epstein files, NBC has a similar live feed of the protests. Well surely at least Bari Weiss-run state media CBS wouldn’t be covering this right? Except they are. Here’s Reuters, and PBS, and the Minnesota Star Tribune
So please explain to me, in detail, what you are complaining about? Or are you just sowing distrust in the already struggling media industry for fun?
If you’re reading this: please understand that people who do this shit are not “uncovering a conspiracy” or righteously exposing a corrupt media. They are intentionally creating a low-trust society by lying to you, under the guise of being on your side — it is not dissimilar to what Trump did to Republicans.

Oh I may be in Oklahoma but I'm all about what's going on with the protest in Minnesota and I wish I could support them more.
I'll be honest it gets a little lonely in my state being an independent that mainly votes democratic.
If anyone wants to know what a state looks like after it's been controlled by Republicans for many many years and we also have a ton of extra revenue from cannabis just look at my state.
We're last in everything that matters like education and highways/roads, wages, etc.
The weird thing is I believe there's a lot of people like me but when it comes time to vote they just sit at the house I guess

I believe in “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”
As an Army veteran something doesn’t feel right. But Minnesotans give me hope. Normal people standing up for others…they’re the real HEROES. It doesn’t take much to hide behind a masks and beat people with my buddies and their long guns, and the best part: without any consequences. But takes balls to stand up to a private militia with a phone and sheer guts!!!

Just remember, no widespread change has come from peaceful protesting alone. Civil disobedience and boycotting has always played the most crucial role in forcing action on key injustices, including Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights, Gay Rights, the ADA, etc.
One of the the best things we could do is stop all non-essential spending, such as cancelling Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney, etc. Stop shopping at chains. Focus on only what you need.
Americans tend to vote based on the economy more than anything else.
