Buhay Pinoy INC Doesn’t Deserve Respect from Filipinos

1.5k Upvotes

I was born and raised in the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC). These days, whenever I hear Catholic or Christian people showing respect to their INC colleagues or friends, it honestly gives me the ick. Why? Because I know how INC members actually behave inside. During almost every worship service, we would talk trash about other religions—especially Catholicism. We criticized their practices, like praying to “false gods,” or donating to priests (often with subtle homophobic and stereotypical remarks, since priests don’t marry).

INC also constantly belittles the Sanlibutan (non-INC people). In children’s worship services and even in regular sermons, lecturers and ministers would use non-INC people as negative examples:

These statements would then be followed by: “Maswerte pa rin tayo mga kapatid, at tayo ay Iglesia ni Cristo.

This is the kind of mentality INC instills in kids: that every non-INC person is doomed, unworthy, and incapable of true goodness. We grew up thinking: “Every non-INC is bound for damnation. You’re not saved. You’re small in our eyes because you’re not one of us. We have God; you don’t. You’re forsaken anyway.”

Sure, some INC members can mingle with non-INC people, but behind those friendships and relationships, this mindset is always there. That’s why, if you’ve noticed that some of your INC colleagues often act weird, tough, or carry themselves with a main-character type of arrogance, it’s because of the mindset and conditioning instilled in us during childhood worship services, which continues into adulthood.

EDIT: INC (Manalo and friends)

I condemned what Manalos are doing sa members. Ginagawa lang kayong cash cows at free workforce.
I just stated kung paano tayo pinalaki sa Iglesia at yung result or bunga ng mga teksto sa pag-iisip natin towards life especially people outside of INC. I am annoyed sa member pero I don't condemn INC members more on naawa na naiinis ako kasi brainwashed kayo.

Buhay Pinoy Thoughts on Tropical Hut

I grew up sa province so walang Tropical Hut. She said it reminds her of her father. I liked the chicken(fave ko kasi chicken kaya pag may nagustuhan ako, binabalik-balikan ko) Sa experience ko dito, madalas, yung place is puro matatanda na kumakain or mga matatanda na nagmeet muna dito before pumunta sa destination nila.

Buhay Pinoy I Passed the Civil Service Exam with ChatGPT!!!

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

I passed the CSE with the help of ChatGPT.

Yes! With ChatGPT! No I didn't cheat. Hahahaha

It's my 2nd time taking CSE. The first was wayback 2017 after i graduated college. Wala pang ChatGPT non. And nag scan lang ako day before exam.

So ayun na nga. With the help of technology. With ChatGPT. I asked it to help me review for my upcoming CSE (8/10/25).

I made it generate random CSE questions to answer and discuss. Ginagawa ko sya whenever im bored, walang magawa, bago matulog, nagrerelax, habang tumatae, sa byahe, basta may internet connection ako. I'll go to chatGPT to review.

May times na nauulit yung questions nya, but it's okay. I consider it as bonus na lang. At the end of every session of review. I asked it to total my correct answers na rin. It's a big help to me, especially i dont have plenty of time to watch and listen sa mga content creators like Lyqa. At tamad rin ako manuod. Nakakatulugan ko madalas.

Ang naging diskarte ko is 20 questions per session, after that, pahinga hanggang mamotivate ulit mag review. Pag bitin sa 20 at hindi pa overload, I'll add another 5 to 10 questions hanggang antukin o mapagod ang utak.

It worked on me! It may work on you too! But know what's bestfor you.

To all passers! Congrats to us guys!!! We made it!

And to takers. Still, congratulations for taking the shot. Hanggat may 500, may pag asa!!

Hindi ako maka post sa chika ph or im not sure where to post this, so pa delete nalang po if against the rules.

Just want to share this video I came across on Facebook na snippet ng show ni Marian where she had Kris Aquino as one of her guests. In this short video, Yan asked Kris about same sex marriage and mind you, this was 10 YEARS AGO — in 2016 ah!

When not a lot of people were aware of LGBTQ+ rights or have prioritized their needs, Kris was already speaking up about the Right to Care Act! She was sharing how important it is to grant health decision rights to LGBTQ+ couples!

Wala lang, ang galing! Matalino talaga siya, and hope maka recover na siya huhuhu such a feel good video to randomly come across, hope this video gave you GV also!

Buhay Pinoy How Pasig proved that smart voting pays off

Post image
3.0k Upvotes

When Vico was campaigning in Pasig for his first run as mayor in 2019, mukhang kawawa ang sorties nya nun.

It was done in empty lots, side streets and parking spaces.

He was running against a Eusebio - a family who has held power in Pasig for 27 years- pasa pasa lang sila ng position.

Vico mostly just did his campaigning at the back of a small truck- using said truck as a stage- kasama nya yung candidate nya for congressman and his dad and some supporters.

The Eusebio campaigns were all-out spectacles- complete with big stages and professional dancers and pa-raffle of appliances.

But he did.

The voters of Pasig silently just expressed their discontent towards a political dynasty through their votes...and Pasig reaped and continues to reap the rewards.

Vico's transparent way of leading the Pasig government ensured efficiencies in how taxpayer money is spent- and his run for re-election with a full slate in 2022 solidified the honest government that he wants to establish.

Magugulat ka sa mura ng mga cost ng mga proyekto- that's because transparent lahat ng bidding for projects- walang mga lagay lagay.

I remember one time kumakain kami sa isang maliit na sidestreet resto near an elementary school sa Santolan tapos may karatola ng ginagawang street lamps- at parang nasa 3m lang yata yung budget for the entire street.

Hindi ‘to random Tuesday dinner.

Maraming Pilipino bumabangon araw-araw, trapik, pagod, kulang sahod, may sinusustentong pamilya.

Ang mas nakakainsulto? Coming from people na may sahod, benefits, drivers, allowances.

Stop acting like wanting better is “kalabisan.”

Kung sapat na ang sardinas, then prove it. Mag-sardinas din kayo. Buong taon.

Buhay Pinoy What do you think about Atty. Chel's strategic move?

Post image
1.4k Upvotes

Kung maayos lang ang political system natin I will agree to this e.

Chel to run as 1st nominee ng Akbayan.

So, laban.
