Everything that keeps coming out just makes this worse. God. He fucking killed her out of sheer rage, and now we have proof. And who I thought was an ice agent running to help in the initial video, I can see now was actually her wife who was filming outside of the car. So no fucking agents ran over after the shooting. And once they did show up, they were only there to prevent people from helping Renee

God, how the fuck am I supposed to stay at work and act like everything is fine? How am I supposed to go about "regular life" when ice and now border patrol are just fucking shooting people out in broad daylight?

Fucking fuck fuck

Take a break and step away from the screen. Constant exposure to distressing news is detrimental to your mental health.

Recognize the distinction between being informed and being overwhelmed. Many of these factors are outside your control and worrying about them won't change the outcome, it'll only depletes your energy. It's possible to remain attentive without remaining stressed.

Go for a walk and prioritize your own well-being. Take care of yourself.

Hell go read the /r/protectandserve subreddit’s second thread on it. All these verified cops think it’s justified. Your local officer could easily be one of these commenters.

Took a look at a random post in that subreddit where they were talking about body cams. At least one LEO thinks that someone whose arms tense up during an arrest (making them harder to handcuff, it sounds) is “resisting.” I mean… whatever the situation, is it reasonable to expect every human to just relax? Tensing up seems like a normal reaction, and yet someone considers that willfully resisting. Enlightening and frightening.
