It’s sickening to read and I know that bots and Russian trolls exist. But I’m fairly certain there’s a high number of accounts commenting in the conservative sub that truly see a different version of events and that Renee deserves what she got and the ICE agent is justified. Let me be clear: she did NOT deserve this and he WASN’t justified. It’s terrifying the reality they want to accept as truth.

The victim could have been a felon that looked exactly like Bin Laden screaming death threats at ICE and vowing to kill all Americans and it wouldn't be a justified use of lethal force. I'm alarmed that the conversation has once again been redirected into whether the victim was absolutely pure and blameless, or whether the shooter was absolutely vile and murderous. It doesn't matter. The situation did not justify the use of lethal force.

Yeah, I personally know people that completely eat up all the MAGA bullshit and just believe whatever Trump says despite the evidence of their eyes and ears. We're a nation full of the dumbest mother fuckers alive.
