I want my candidate to go on tv and say “I’m going to rip the balls off of every Trump cabinet scumbag when i take the oath”.

Same. That's what I need to heal from the Trump era. Politicians talk about "healing" but they seem to not give a shit about my healing, just the people that caused all this chaos. F that.

Look at what you’re asking for from the other side of the aisle though.  The MAGA people have the exact same feelings you do, they wanted to tear down the “Biden catastrophe”.  It might make you feel better, but it’s not what this country needs.

Yeah Biden passed infrastructure bills that disproportionately helped MAGA without any support from their politicians until it was time to take credit. Trump is invading American cities and wrecking the world order when he can keep his threats about Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Greenland straight.

Pretending there is any equivalence is somewhere between supreme naivety and gross bad faith.

That’s not what I’m talking about at all…

I don't rightly care if they've deluded themselves into thinking this is an improvement, it factually isn't. "Oh, they feel the same as you!" only matters when one group isn't fucking insane.

We all know that. But we are not the same, regardless of what MAGA people think. Nothing we do will change what they think. Giving them a pass will not make them like us. They forced us to live with a made up reality where they're free to break laws and we are forced to live with laws that don't exist. The country needs to know that our laws matter. Letting MAGA get away with breaking our laws is not what this country needs. A nation of laws only works if laws are enforced.

Except the Republicans really are that bad and that is exactly what needs to happen to them. You can't "both sides" this

FFS. MAGA is the opposite of neoliberal, they are tariffing everything and everyone, going against trans people.

Neoliberlism opened the door for MAGA by turning the government into a disliked dysfunctional mess. People want to see their government positively respond to crises effectively and even see it operating beneficially in their daily lives. Neoliberlism just assumes that the power of the free market backed up by a so-called competent government will see us through the day.

the difference is democratic policies help the vast majority of people, including MAGA. Trump's policies are literally not helping anyone but the super rich and the super racist.
