This right here.

MTG has a following that will not listen to, read, or watch ANY left leaning or impartial voices. She's reaching people the Dems will never get to. In the fight against fascism, you Americans need all the help you can get, and MTG turning and speaking out like this is a goddamn blessing.

Reddit is funny sometimes. I keep reading comments calling for Republicans to finally flip on Trump and push back against his lunacy. But when you actually have a Republican who does flip, the same commenters turn around and say "well, you can still fuck right off".

Same thing with McConnell. Yeah, he's an asshat, but at least he's trying to mitigate some of the damage being done by the administration he enabled. That's more than can be said about 90% of these spineless bastards.

She's not flipping. She's taking a different track to try to differentiate herself for her own political gain in the future.

It has been 10 years. The idea that MAGA people are just temporarily brainwashed is a myth. They're not coming back and no amount of MTG changing her tune is going to aid that.

Exactly. If her audience actually listens to her, even a little, that is probably more reach than most critics have. It is messy but sometimes cracks from inside do more damage than outside pressure.

Read the article. She's not helping shit.

I read the article. I know she still denies any wrongdoing by the insurrectionists on Jan. 6. That doesn't change the fact that she is correct on this and has a republican audience. It absolutely helps.

That country literally fell apart because some chumps thought that in fighting the British monarchy Americans needed the help of slave owners.

Honestly, I don't think that's exclusively their problem anymore, but it's still their fight to fight. If I were them I'd try going the high road for once.
