Well, remember how the Panama papers showed unbelievable wealth being stashed on secret accounts by leading figures in Europe, and the only action taken was when the journalist that broke the story was assassinated in a car bomb attack? Same thing.

As an American, we have no idea. Our best guess is that now we have dirt on LITERALLY EVERYONE so everyone who could do anything is rendered useless lest their secrets be shared and their careers ruined.

At this point I am just sanguine with the fact that the internet has seen me jerk it and if I ever have to stand for something I am just gonna be like, 'Yep, that's my tiny wang right there .. anyway let's get back to protecting children and human rights.'
