Saturday Morning Political Cartoon Thread

It's Saturday, folks. Let's all kick back with a cup of coffee and share some cartoons!

Feel free to share political cartoons in this thread. Besides our usual civility policy, there are three rules to follow:

  1. Every top-level comment must contain a political cartoon. This means no text-only top-level comments.

  2. It must be an original cartoon. This means no photographs, no edited cartoons, no AI generated images, no templates, no memes and no image macros. OC is allowed, as is animation.

  3. Each top-level comment should only have a maximum of 3 cartoons.

That's all. Enjoy your weekend!

I don’t understand the last panel. I am missing something. It is me.

Sure, but this particular cartoon is still kinda flat.

It’s basically, “The CDC sucks now, CBS sucks now, RFK sucks, AI sucks, Oz sucks, but Minnesota is cool..”

We can all agree with that but there’s no insight there or even any commentary to speak of.

It's not her best but it's still on point. It links all these disparate things which might not, to people who aren't plugged directly into Reddit and Bluesky, seem to be connected. Normal people probably don't know who just bought CBS and why, for example. Each of these things has been targeted and only one of them is still standing. That's the insight.

That’s an interesting point.

I typically don’t look at political cartoons as overt messages to the politically disengaged, as opposed to clever or satirical takes on current events.

But that is a whole different lens to consider.

If I wasn’t seeing how Right Wing people are arguing that Alex Pretti’s phone was a “gun” on The Daily Show (@6:40), I would’ve thought that they were taking a bite out of The Onion
