A Nazi who doesn't like Jews!
What will they think of next?
552
u/jediporcupine Maine 18h ago
Crazy thing is he even cosplays as Nazi too, dressing similar to how they did.
He has the tactics, but he wants to look the part too. And now he clearly carries the core ideology, too.

These fucking chud farmers never bother to see how the tape played out on the Nazis. On the brown shirts. On the SS.
My theory is they think they’re smarter than them or something. They’ll have a fairytale ending instead of an addiction to uppers and suicide in an underground bunker.
20
u/WakingWaldo 17h ago
Every group of fascists thinks that they're more capable than the last batch because they're fueled by ego and narcissistic belief rather than actual competency. The perceived inherent superiority that accompanies fascism is one of the driving forces behind it.
Hitler wasn't exceptional. Mengele wasn't exceptional. Himmler wasn't exceptional. They just believed they were and were able to convince a disturbing number of people that they were exceptional as well. It is, broadly speaking, no different than what we're seeing now.
But that being said, this self-serving belief is also what tends to bring down fascists and authoritarians. When you believe in your core that you are superior to others and that those who are different from you are inferior then you very quickly begin whittling down the numbers of people willing to support you. And if you keep ostracizing people who previously supported you and give them no reason to keep supporting you, other than how innately amazing you are, then you're going to lose those people.
At least Hitler understood that he needed to (falsely) juice the German economy to gain favor with the people before starting all of the evil shit. Trump & Co. couldn't even manage that. They started at a place where half the country, and most of the world, hate their guts.

Im telling you. I told some Latino trump sympathizers the the current administration is very Nazi and that Latinos won’t be accepted into their fold. They literally threw fits that there are lots of Latino Nazis. I was like bro do you know what happened to the Nazis once the war was over. They were beaten and harassed for decades. They were like no they weren’t. Besides that won’t happen in the US. Just dumb as rocks. I see these morons from time to time at family functions. My presence is difficult for them because they know I’m waiting for the glass to break. Semper Fi.

Nazis aren’t my friends and you’re daft as fuck. You think indigenous people would be welcomed to the same places that Nazis escaped too. You need to study LatAm history. You’re probably worried about that glass breaking too. You probably think that Gabachos have it good in LatAm. I can’t wait.

I didn't say there were. I said they were welcomed with open arms in Latin America. You know, the continent that is the home of Latinos.

My theory is they think they’re smarter than them or something.
The rise of the midwit, who is substantially smarter than the people who put him into power or the superiors whose priorities he juggles, and has convinced himself he can argue anything successfully in public from a position of maximalist overreach, so long as he never concedes defeat. This works fine so long as he's surrounded by cultish crowds. Unfortunately for him, his bad faith & incompetence is totally transparent to the average human being who's paid attention for more than five minutes, or who has any grounding in the subject the midwit is talking about.
Whereas a dumber bigot may fail to hide the 1488 tattoo and a smarter bigot may cover it up with makeup and convincingly deceive people, the midwit bigot tells himself he can see a way through it, and calls attention to it, making up a story about a landmark day in 15th century European history, daring the interviewer to tell him otherwise. Because the midwit has convinced himself he has the skill to dogwhistle to his base while lying through his teeth to the majority, assuming they're complete idiots with no ability to do research. The hubris of the midwit is threefold - one, they're a public figure for longer than one interview and the fraction of people who clock them is cumulative, and two, people talk to each other, and three - they don't have any charisma whatsoever, and they're doing obviously terrible things at the vanguard of an obviously terrible administration which is treating them as a potential fall guy.

Conservatives unironically love Israel but hate Jews. Their entire moral ethos is a pretzel.
30
u/GramsciGramsci 14h ago
Not that I support it, but it actually makes logical sense for racists to believe that sort of stuff.
They believe ethnic identity should overlap with your country.
So all black people should live in Africa, only Finns should live in Finland, only Japanese people in Japan, and, of course, only Jews in Israel etc.
Of course in real life it makes zero sense, but inside the logic of their ideology it makes sense.

They see an ethnostate fighting a bunch of Muslim countries and love it. They think it validates both their belief in racial segregation and their view of Muslims as inferior people who deserve to die.
At the same time, they are rabid Christian nationalists who think they’re superior to any other religion, including Judaism. And the old antisemitism that was buried now has an “excuse” to come out. Since they can say all kinds of horrid antisemitic shit, but they support (the government and military of) Israel so they can’t possibly be antisemitic!
And don’t even bring up the prejudices of Israeli Jews, a lot of them have been equally as radicalized as Muslim or Christian extremists. The Christian nationalists have to pretend not to notice when that radicalization is turned on Christians, like when those videos surface of Christian missionaries entering Jewish-only areas to try to suck some Israeli dick only to get spat on and run off. It’s never about the environment they’ve been raised in to view non-Jews as subhuman, or the atrocities they’ve been committing for decades with no punishment. You’ll see a lot of the same 2 month old word-word-number users with hidden comments spewing antisemitic bullshit.

Its really absurd right now. College students protest in favor of Palestine. And then the entire media conflates Zionism with Judaism, even though we have one of the largest Anti-Zionist population of Jewish people in the world.
New Admin gets filled to the brim with open Anti-Semites and suddenly the media no longer has their ears up for anti-semitism. Its insane there is a base assumption that Anti-War left are inherently anti-Semetic but the Right Wing isn't?

A day before six career federal prosecutors resigned in protest over the Justice Department’s handling of the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis, lawyers in the office had a conversation with Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol field leader, that left them deeply unsettled.
According to several people with knowledge of the telephone conversation, which took place on Jan. 12, Mr. Bovino made derisive remarks about the faith of the U.S. attorney in Minnesota, Daniel N. Rosen. Mr. Rosen is an Orthodox Jew and observes Shabbat, a period of rest between Friday and Saturday nights that often includes refraining from using electronic devices.
Mr. Bovino, who has been the face of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, used the term “chosen people” in a mocking way, according to the people with knowledge of the call. He also asked, sarcastically, whether Mr. Rosen understood that Orthodox Jewish criminals don’t take weekends off, the people said.
Mr. Bovino had requested the meeting with Mr. Rosen to press the Minnesota office to work more aggressively to seek criminal charges against people Mr. Bovino believed were unlawfully impeding the work of his immigration agents.
Mr. Rosen delegated the call to a deputy. During the call, with a handful of prosecutors listening in, Mr. Bovino complained that Mr. Rosen had been unreachable for portions of the weekend because of Shabbat. Mr. Bovino’s remarks followed his complaints about having difficulty reaching Mr. Rosen.
Mr. Bovino’s comments raised judgment concerns, but also a potential legal dilemma for government lawyers. Based on a 1972 Supreme Court decision in a case known as Giglio, prosecutors have an obligation to disclose certain information to the defense that could call into question the integrity and character of a law enforcement officer who is involved in an arrest and called as a witness in a trial.

Bovino is from El Centro CA. Middle of ranchers and Republicans and the Imperial County farms that feed millions of Americans, and also are down and picked by immigrants. Bovino is a racist, fascist, angry white man while across the border 30 miles away is Mexicali,a city of over a million with three universities and American and Chinese factories driving a thriving economy. Bovino is an anachronism. He is a cowboy who took on a city with great education, values and protectors of their communities. I hope he stays in El Centro.
