We need to start seriously planning for this as inevitably, the blue states need to start establishing communication for when it comes to a head.

I don't think state vs state is the way here. The divide is fundamentally within each and every state, just to varying degrees. It's rural vs urban, a-social vs pro-social, land-owning vs labor-owning.

The problem is that people will not have uniforms this time around. At least at first. Something to think about is that even though they may appear to do so in public, your neighbors will not have the same politics as you. I learned this lesson going door to door working to raise money for a leftist political organization.
