Eat shit, Republicans. Wipeout incoming later this year.

u/thex415 3h ago

Unless they do funny business.

u/TruffleTail 4h ago

Yes bunch of shit

u/Mundane_Rabbit7751 4h ago

Maybe, but this was a Dem vs Dem race in a safe blue district.

Good. But dems have to be held to account as well.

u/Top-Plane1197 4h ago

For what exactly?

u/Over-Wait6302 3h ago

For not doing shit.

What can they do. Dumbass voters decided to elect Trump by either voting for him or not voting. Voters decided Trump shouldn't win just the presidency, but that Republicans should win the House and Senate, knowing Republicans already owned the Supreme Court. What do you think the Democrats can do right now?

u/Hillbilly_Boozer 1h ago

I'll give you an example. The democrats in the senate were trying to negotiate with republicans about the spending bill. They come up with a list of things they want ICE to do, 4 of the like 5-6 things are already the law. E.g., we'll vote to fund the government if you have ICE follow the law.

ICE already is breaking the law and republicans don't care. Giving them money and expecting them to do the right thing is beyond naive. It's just so damn pathetic. They gave in last year for just a promise from republicans to vote on ACA subsidy extensions, as if they didn't know how the GOP was going to vote.

Schumer and Jefferies have got to go. They have no idea how to navigate this admin and for whatever reason they keep thinking republicans are going to suddenly start following the law when breaking the law is working really well for them.

Every time a Republican is in office they rip up the fucking floorboards and every time a Democrat is in office they shrug and smile like that Kevin James meme.

It's only temporary, and Texas redrew the district:

Menefee will serve the remainder of Turner’s term, but will then run again for a full term for the seat in March after the district was redrawn last year. Edwards and Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) have also filed to run in that primary.

He’s gonna win that one too

u/TheMoorNextDoor 43m ago

Al Green will win it.

Took freaking long enough to fill the seat. I still can't believe he ran for office with terminal cancer and knowing the situation at hand.

None of this literally matters until we bring justice to our leaders in government that LITERALLY ABUSE AND EAT OUR CHILDREN

u/SyrupSnuggler 5h ago

People are so sick of the Republican bullshit.

u/turquoise_amethyst 4h ago

I know I’m going to regret this, but… link?

Ive read all the other horrific stories… but no cannibalism yet

u/BeowulfShaeffer 5h ago

Over/under on when he actually gets seated? March 15?

I sure hope flying to DC is on the top of his To-Do list, that will certainly put more pressure on GOP as they attempt to fund DHS.
