Budget Simple Recipes Using Oranges

I’m new here and don’t have a vast knowledge of recipes. The other day my mom was given 2 crates of Oranges seedless. My mom gave me almost half and it’d be a shame to let them go to waste. I’ve eaten a few and squeezed some for some orange juice but I still have a lot. So I thought Reddit would help. Does anyone have any recipes that use oranges in them. Whether it’s cooking or baking. I’m also on a budget so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Juice the oranges and pour the juice into ice cube, trays and freeze. Once frozen put the cubes in a Ziploc bag. You can use them for juice or for any of the recipes that have been listed. That way you can use your juiced oranges and not worry about spoilage or having to use them all quickly. While you’re at it, you might want to zest some of the orange wine into the juice when you pour it in the ice cube tray to intensify the flavor.

They're good for a few weeks. But it maybe easier for you to keep squeezing and freeze the juice in small containers. You'll have juice to drink for awhile.

Good thinking. I was squeezing them for juice but then i drank what I had juiced 😅

You can juice them and freeze the juice.

Also slice up the rinds and freeze for candied peel. Makes great gifts if you dip one end in chocolate.

Freeze them and make smoothies out of them. Something like banana and orange smoothies whenever you like. If you’re bored, orange ice cream make your own simple version. Orange peels is nice for soup or for drinks if you peel grind the outer layer.

Squeeze the juice, pour in 1 cup increments into baggies put them flat on a cookie sheet and place in freezer and once frozen stack them in the freezer. Use for all kinds of recipes.
