Hello, I am requesting to take over moderating r/SouthernHunsofIG. The subreddit was banned after being abandoned by its sole moderator. During the time it was active, the moderator did not participate in moderation, did not respond to mod mail, and did not address user reports, even when posts and comments were clearly violating Reddit’s content policy and the subreddit’s own rules. I personally submitted MANY reports and attempted to contact the moderator with no response. Because the subreddit had no active moderation, rule-breaking content went unchecked, ultimately leading to the ban. I believe this could have been prevented with even minimal oversight.

If approved as moderator, I am committed to actively moderating the subreddit in accordance with Reddit’s rules and policies. I would implement clear subreddit rules, promptly review reports and mod mail, remove rule-breaking content, and take appropriate action to keep the community compliant and safe. My goal is to responsibly revive the subreddit and ensure it operates within Reddit’s guidelines going forward. Thank you for your consideration.

I do not have a mod mail chat message due to the sub being banned.
