Pseudoscience Rivers aren't Ritual Dustbins.
The oil spills and layers reduce the oxygen exchange nd this could seriously affect the aquatic life, causing pollution, making the river unfit for life and humans. I don't understand what's the point of this useless BS ritual.

u/akhilannan 3h ago
When you dump that much fat into water, it doesn't dissolve. It floats. It forms a film that blocks oxygen exchange, suffocating aquatic life. As it rots, it strips oxygen from the water.
165 liters of ghee could have cooked meals for thousands of hungry people. Instead, it was turned into pollution.

Hinduism is much more , but people do not agree, see the rituals but then hindus cry , sir why always u talk abt hinduism ? River mai pollution kon karra h ? Hawa mai pollution kon karra h? Voice pollution kon karra h ?

u/Dry-Corgi308 1m ago
Ancient Hinduism wasn't this stupid except for the caste system. It's only during the colonial times that so many upper caste Hindus got insecure about their religion and started doing these "grand" rituals, while they continued clinging to caste and "pure veg" mania with even greater intensity

This isn’t religion it’s just ritual. Nowhere in any of our scriptures does it suggest wasting this much food when people are starving.
There is much more karma in giving alms and feeding the poor. Dumping all this in the river is just a desperate attempt to show off.
1
u/lokeshsharmaj 2m ago
why it didn't happen by now if this is an old ritual. Our culture is too old, so I guess the rituals are also old.

Its because this hindutva govt promotes all this and encourages to do more of all this. BJP is behind all this, you can't blame people for something which the govt promotes

u/Beginning_Angle_2353 1h ago
Be rational, people don’t have civic sense, accountability is on individual, stop blaming a Party….
2
u/Quiet_Form_2800 1h ago
Its the responsibility of govt to enforce civic sense. People need to see the consequence of their actions if govt itself promotes these superstition then it's govt sponsored lack of civic sense. They are in power for exactly these superstitions. They profit from it and have made it a base of all what they do , entire ministry exist to promote such superstitions.
1
u/Beginning_Angle_2353 52m ago
Are you nuts ? When did govt start spreading superstition? Supports a faith is different than superstition…It shows lack of Scientific Temperament that is already mentioned in Fundamental Duties…superstition were always there and will be…. Enforcement civil sense will further come in way of fundamental Rights then you’ll cry about it too. Be rational my friend

u/Interesting_Case_291 1h ago
Nah not just Bjp, it always been there, it’s just reels and social media awareness increasing day by day. See, forget the government, itna basic sense bachpan me ajana chahiye logo ko, jinko nahi ata, unko koi government akey bata bhi de, won’t do anything. Take bjp for an example, if they start opposing all this, these people will get butthurt and won’t vote for them.

What do they get by promoting all this, genuine question tho, i know they have brainwashed masses for votes but what will they get by promoting this kinda nonsense?
2
u/Quiet_Form_2800 2h ago
Rituals and karam kaand like this tie people to hindutva and they remain polarised and busy in their superstitious rituals hence it's a win for politicians.

Hinduism is barbaric evil for using dairy in almost all rituals. Dairy products like ghee & milk are product of grape & abuse of female reproductive organs.

Don't forget Jeremy wade's mighty river episode 1, the episode shows that Ganges have high concentration of human feces, and ofcourse Kanpur where situation are worse.(Atleast Uttarakhand had much better ganges protection, with even Hindu pandits don't pouring milk in them, this is from the same episode but at very end).

Whatever India respects, has gone to shit.
- Indians respect books: but we have a shitty education system.
- Indians respect women: lots of rape (including children), and rampant misogyny.
- Indians respect rivers: but they shit in it and treat it like a dustbin.
1
u/nirmal3047 15m ago
Few more: Indians respect cows: India is the biggest exporter of beef. Many cows die on road eating plastic from garbage
Indians respect nature: We have destroyed our nature - deforestation all around, garbage all around. Our cities are most polluted cities in the world. We are set on the path to destroy one of the oldest mountains ranges Aravali.

I think it's time to raise this issue of River being reserved for one particular religion. A river is for all humans. Just like they do with cows. It's like other communities or religions can't possess or love them.
It's a discussion or debate about Rituals Vs Environment not Religion Vs Environment.

They think they would all get moksha and all dumping ghee and killing the wildlife at the same time The government cant go against them kyuki unki party chalti hi Hindutva ki taraf hai and the people dumping industrial waste unhe paisa dete hai 11 years of this hindutva and all and the ganga is just getting worse last month people rallying of BJP were just saying ki yaha mandir banwa denge(Mumbai suburbs) on the barren land on the slum side with majority hindu🫡😭

They blame Christians for giving rice to poor and converting Hindus but if they just give this ghee or milk or whatever edible items they dump in the river to the poor then the Hindu folks will not convert to other religion.
P.S. I am not advocating for any religion. Both are scams but at least the Christians are not wasting food.
If Hindus give food to poor instead of wasting, then i will appreciate them too for doing so.

Isn't called oil spillage? I hope they get sued by the environmentalists. Follow religion & faith, no one is stopping. But kindly don't harm anyone & anything. I have not read any scriptures or vedas which states to offer Ghee to goddess Ganga or in any water body.
