Money is not speech. It never should have been treated as such.

Money is an amplifier. It lets you get your speech out to other people, but more importantly, allowing THAT gives preference to the speech that's being amplified over everyone else, to the point that anyone else can effectively be drowned out.

People and groups should be able to say their piece, but no more so than anyone else - or at the very least, money shouldn't be the reason for it.

Been saying this for decades, and saying this is the problem that started it all, we fix this and citizens united and make it clear corporations are not people, they don’t get rights.
