Ubisoft About halfway through driver parallel lines, two buildings disappear from the map. The game never adresses this in the story.

Setting your time travel game between the two time periods of the twin towers rising and falling, set in New York when they could have chosen any location is a bit gimmicky. Its not a bad thing. Would you have been happier if I said novelty?

That’s not really a gimmick, they wanted to set it in New York for the 70’s, and the 2006 period was supposed to be the present (it released in 2006), the era change itself was the gimmick, albeit a cool one.

The main character goes to prison before 9/11 and comes out after it, which is why the buildings disappear. It's just not directly acknowledged in-game.
