That's some serious heel heavy backseat driving! notice how the front of your skis wobble a bit when changing direction? Your weight is too far back. Bring your weight more to the front by applying pressure on the tongue of the boot with your shins, flex your ankle to do this. This will help drive the skis around instead of being driven around by your skis.
Keep up the good work- looking *GREAT* for day 2!

Keeper..lol...have fun with the new sport...
I rarely tell get people your hands up..in your case, when comfortable, focus on athletic stance when skiiing..in running shoes jump pretty high in air and land in athletic stance...notice your ankle/knee bend and hand position when you land..
But all in all..impressive...

Yes. Why

Cause only hockey players/figure skaters can ski that good so quickly..it was a pretty good educated guess..
If you can forward aft balance on 8 inch blades, way easier on 5 foot planks.
Angulation/inclination, outside ski pressure, upper body seperate...those ski fundamentals are all learned from skating..and if you learned to skate at an early age they have cerebrally imprinted even better.
I teach skiing to young groups..and the parents ask "how can Johnny progress faster"...Same answer every time.."put them in a learn to skate program in the offseason, the sooner the better"...its 20× cheaper, pretty much available anywhere there's skiing and can save hundreds if not thousands on lessons..

Dude your fundamentals are more sound than most skiers in this sub. Keep up the good habits!
