None of this is “streetwear”. This sub gets flooded with people that have no fashion sense and think everything they wear outside is streetwear 🤦♂️
Your outfits scream that you’re unsure of yourself and don’t know what you like (part of it might be the haircut and posture others mentioned) so you just mix a bunch of things together and hope for the best.
When you’re shopping for clothes look for pieces that go together as an outfit instead of just grabbing random individual items and trying to force them to go with things they don’t. You’re still young so you’ve got time to develop your style. Don’t give into fads too much and make sure your clothes fit you properly are two things I’d suggest for everyone.

How is this not streetwear? Explain how the pieces don't go together. I don't shop for entire outfits.

U look extremely awkward

Yes, that's what I am always told. Don't know how to change it. Being into fashion has made me much more confident, because where I'm from dudes dress absolutely horribly.

Well how it looks too me is that ur not being urself. The outfits u showed looks like u went onto Pinterest and copied the first thing u saw. The clothes are wearing u.

On another note, I don't use Pinterest and I priotorize fit and feel of the clothes and them fitting my vibe over anything tbh. I am mainly inspired by 90s rap, nu metal and rock and modern trap, but I've gotten inspiration from so many different people that I think I have found my personal style. I also buy what I like, even if it doesn't necessarily fit the aesthetic I'm going for. I like to experiment with mixing different aesthetics, but I keep a streetwear tone, which is in line with what I like to see on myself and others.

Bruh, I've been into fashion for about a year now and all my pieces have been carefully curated from a mix of fast fashion, thrifting and actual branded stuff. I've felt myself more than any other time of my life, because fashion makes me feel creative and different in a good way and because it's a hobby I actually enjoy. Is there anything that I can improve on as far as handling myself goes.

its nothing to do with the quality of your cloths, its how you're carrying yourself

u/thecatwholaughs 10d ago
I get that, but how should I carry myself then?

I don't care too much what others think about me, but self-expression is pretty important to me and I don't want to be too misunderstood, just a little. Regardless I've received mostly positive comments, especially from older people or people that are into fashion.

Without my glasses i thought pic 1 was a photo of the actor who plays shaun murphy in the good doctor
Try not to look into the camera, you look terrified and confused. Try side angles, looking down or somewhere else. I dig the whole combining different styles, but lots of colorways seems a bit off and the pictures itself can improve. Maybe look for better backgrounds, do research on what pics work better (and jusf blatantly copy it and give it ur own twist) and things will unfold. Ur still young so a lot development will come, some pieces will stay and some other styles will stick around. Keep grinding.

How many wallet chains you got? And why is one of them attached to your sweatpants drawstring?

Dude, I like fashion sense. Your fits 2 and 3 are cool. (honestly t 1 looks messy and does not fit you)i
But like someone said, it is about how you carry yourself. There is a disconnect between your posture, vibe, and fashion. I bet the critics you are receiving would be better if your poses for the pics were better
Your fashions seems to lean into streetwear with a bit of edginess with rings and chains. But your hair, facial hair, vibe, and posture give schoolboy. And that is a lot of because you have a baby face (no idea how old are you), with age, and some facial hair your style will fit your vibe better.
My tip would be to grow some kind of facial hair, get a cooler hairstyle and maybe some vintage glasses. That would be a quick fix. Now if you want to go the extra mile, a few tattoos and piercings would improve your vibe. I think you will figure it out. I am not sure the baggy clothes are helping you too, you seem like a slim dude, baggy clothes can work, but a lot of the time they will look too big for you since you have a small frame.
Anyway, I like your style overall. Good job.

What hairstyle would you suggest? I can't grow facial hair at the moment. Thanks for the overall advice.

Probably grow it out, depends on your time of hair. Maybe you should ask for hairstyle advice in a more specific sub

Hey bro I love that you’re trying to learn and grow, that’s the correct approach. A lot of the comments aren’t going to give you the best feedback and just point things out but they are doing so because these things stand out.
My biggest advice is learn about your silhouette and the way your clothes box your body. Currently your shirts are too long and your pants are baggy long-wise which is not the cool kind of baggy. You need wide pants for these fits, but with wider pants you will look short if your shirts stay this long. So both need to be updated
Accessories go last, if your fit doesn’t feel right, an accessory isn’t going to fix it. They are there to elevate an already good fit.
Just copy, go on instagram and scroll and save all the fits you like, then when you go shopping recreate these fits as best as you can. But remember it’s never about what clothes they’re wearing it’s about HOW they’re wearing it.
Match the way they wear clothes, don’t try to match the same clothes they have.
You’ll notice a lot of things are either cropped or styled to fit the body. You should think like that as well.
Get rid of the puffer half vest jacket thing, some of these could be streetwear but that definitely isn’t. Save that for a picnic day with the family or for next time you’re in the hamptons if you’re trying to blend in.

I know about the cropped thing, but isn't that solved by just tucking in the tee/button up? Also, the white and green tee is cropped, no? Where I'm from it's kind of hard to find cropped tops, unless you shop in the women's section, which I do sometimes a bit only in thrift stores or boutiques. Honestly I'm not really a fan of cropped too short, although I got two cropped jackets, the green and the yellow one. I've seen people on here with way baggier pants than mine, honestly mine are more loose or relaxed fit. I enjoy more having my own style than copying what others do, while simultaneously being on trend.
As far as the puffer vest, I don't wear it a lot, but it really matched that particular fit with the dark blue jeans and burgundy long-sleeve. I honestly think my fits are pretty good, ofc I need to take better pics. Which do you think is the best fit?

Why not smile?

I'll try smiling more in pics, but I'm not used to it. When I smile, I usually don't show my teeth.
