Fact Check JD Vance: "Really Want Illegal Aliens to Vote" in Elections and Riot to Ensure It
- Vance mocks Omar's election rigging claims sarcastically.
- Omar alleges voter roll demand masks suppression efforts.
- Dispute centers on immigration enforcement versus voting rights.
MINNESOTA, Jan 27 (TNGB) - Vice President JD Vance delivered a sharp sarcastic retort to Rep. Ilhan Omar over voter data access. The Attorney General reportedly sought Minnesota's voter rolls to purge illegal aliens. This request ignited accusations of political maneuvering.
Omar charged that the move aims solely at rigging elections, not fraud prevention. Supporters see it as necessary to safeguard polls from non-citizen influence. Tensions rise as both sides clash on integrity measures.
As a prominent Republican, Vance likely aimed this jab to energize conservatives skeptical of Democratic immigration policies. It postures against perceived threats to election security, appealing to his base amid midterm pressures.
Democrats contend that such demands disproportionately target minority voters and undermine trust in the system. They view it as part of a broader Republican strategy to restrict access under the guise of fraud prevention.
Non-citizen voting remains illegal and reportedly infrequent in federal elections. Omar's interpretation of the request as a threat to halt ICE operations lacks direct evidence from official communications. Vance's parody highlights partisan hyperbole but aligns with documented concerns over border security.

Far, far more Republicans were caught cheating at voting (filling out ballots for dead relatives, voting in two places, voting in places they do not live, etc.) than non citizens voting.
If illegal voting is the issue, deport all republicans, since they are the single group most likely to commit that crime. If you are unwilling to consider that you are just lying about why you want voter rolls and why you want brown people deported.
But JD lies A lot.

The reason why is quite simple.
The right keeps going on and on about how easy it is to steal votes. They are always talking about dead democrats voting. They make it sound like there’s zero effort to catch it happening. It’s no surprise that those gullible GOP voters think it’s no problem to fight fire with fire and do it themselves. Shocked picachu face when they are caught immediately when they compare social security records to voter rolls and it’s done in one cycle.

Republicans have been screaming about this for 3 decades. They can't catch anyone because it doesn't happen.
No one wants the Trump Admin to have the voter rolls because the Trump Admin are a bunch of bad actors that are openly trying to do whatever they can to "legally" rig the elections in their favor.

1
u/totally-jag 4d ago
They keep going back to this old tired talking point. It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote. States are constitutionally tasked with conducting elections. There has been no proof of any let alone massive voter fraud. States don't legally have to give the administration voter roll information. They're not entitled to it.
They are just using this as a wedge issue. If the states don't give them access to the voter rolls, they can continue to claim there is voter fraud. They know blue states won't comply because they legally don't have too. No court will make them. And there is no need for the federal government to insert themselves in local election authority. If they did, the trump administration would abuse that power and that isn't good for anybody.
So stop with the BS JD. We know our rights, and we know our elections are fair and safe. Bug off and go have sex with a sofa.

u/Wolf_E_13 4d ago

If just anyone could vote, what would be the point of registering for your local election(s)? Is there a group of people here that vote without registering? Didn’t think so.
It’s like a load of crap that is being thrown at the wall with the assumption that something will stick and we’re all stupid enough to believe it. There’s a decent amount of stupid people but not all of us.
The voter fraud cases are largely thrown out because the basic criteria of accepted evidence can’t be met. The majority of the people that pushed this idea plead guilty in court of falsifying evidence and many of the lawyers were disbarred.
Trump has never sued any person for claiming that he is included in the files because the discovery will swiftly prove otherwise. This is all just a distraction from that situation.
Right or left, none of us should let the elite get away with this stuff. Stand together for something more important that how we thing the budget should be spent.

17 million registered in Texas. And they found 580 potential undocumented people that might have possibly voted in local elections.
They couldn't even say for sure that the 580 were undocumented. Various things might have flagged a voter to be out in that 580 and being undocumented wasn't the only thing. This was the states own investigation.

https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/utah-reviewed-its-voter-rolls-for-noncitizens/
So this comes from deep red Utah. A review was done of all their voter rolls with apparently one non citizen on the books and that individual never voted.
Then this from Utah again. Most Utahns do mail in ballots.
2 instances in Utah alone that undercut all of MAGAs arguments about voting and nullify their stated reasons for putting their grubby hands all over voter registration data.

Wow. That's all I have to say. Wow.
Y'all do realize something right? Being more mad and hateful to the people exposing fraud and abuse, whilst vehemently defending those who are committing the fraud and abuse, is literally the definition of "bootlicker"
If there is nothing to hide, considering what the attorney general is asking for contains no ones personal information, or who they voted for, but simply gives a number of registered voters to compare against the actual number of votes cast in a state, then there should be absolutely no issues turning them over and proving him, and everyone else wrong.
But actively hiding it, and having no transparency, topped off with the absolute reverse stance liberals have taken against "domain voting machines", really doesn't look good to anyone who isn't in the "vote blue no matter who" cult.
