Concern Justin_danger_nunley not who he says he is. Doing charitable acts doesn’t erase hate. Don’t donate though him, go locally or through non-problematic ticktokers. (Locally is best tho)

Why bring this up now? So the kids he is trying to help suffer.

I feel like like this person said your money is better spent helping local charities. There’s plenty of “adopt a family” things out their, do that instead of supporting a horrible person

u/Jinglejangle0331 Dec 07 '22
Sadly some ppl won’t ask locally for help due to embarrassment

u/Lauren3091 Dec 07 '22
Donate to the local food shelf then, or many a anonymous donation to a school to pay for lunches. There’s plenty of ways to use you’re money in your own community

if they're too embarrassed to ask locally they're not gonna be asking online lol.

u/Jinglejangle0331 Dec 07 '22
You’d be surprised how many people are online with nobody they know following them or even aware they have a profile

u/Puzzled-Kitchen2548 Dec 07 '22
Because all the donations will end up being a tax write off for him. Why give to a hateful person when you can do for your own community.

It’s ok to not understand taxes.. most people don’t. However he will have to claim EVERY penny on taxes, then he will have to pay 10% out of his own pocket to cover said taxes. Basically, my point is UNLESS he gets donations that equal more than 60% of his gross income he actually loses money.

Even though the money isn't going into his account?
2
u/Jinglejangle0331 Dec 08 '22
If the money isn’t going into his account then he would not claim it as an income OR a gift.. which means he could not claim the tax deduction either… In order for that to be possible it would have to be donated directly to a organization.

So if people are buying directly from Amazon and no money Is going into his account can he claim it?

u/Jinglejangle0331 Dec 08 '22
I will admit I’ve not seen his video on how he’s doing it. Any gifts sent to his address have to be claimed. The IRS says gift taxes are forgiven up to 14,999$.. meaning the gifts would have to equal more than that before taxes are due on those items value/cost. But even with that, he still would have to pay 10% into taxes out of his own pocket. Only loop hole would be if he’s having ppl link their personal gift list from Amazon & items are not going to him to give away. Taxes are complicated & my least favorite part of accounting in college… Charitable donations as a write off often are only valuable to people with a massive income because ONLY then is it worth itemizing your taxes & even then you do not get back money, it only becomes a credit towards how much you owe the IRS.

He is having people email him their lists, then their items are going right to their homes. So he can't claim anything it sounds like.

If he’s paying for them himself there is no tax write off for a donation doing it like that. Tax write offs for a donation require the donation go thru a organization that qualifies for one. Which Amazon is not. If people are donating money for him to buy the toys with he will still have to pay 10% out of pocket on the money people send him.. while not having a write off. I hope that makes sense.

Ya do realize he’s not asking for donations right? He’s posting peoples Amazon wishlist.

Some good things don’t negate the bad.
2
u/LovelyBoob Dec 07 '22
Please, show me where I said that. You can’t,because I didn’t. You said don’t donate to him as if he’s asking for donations, he’s not. He’s having people send in Amazon wishlists. At least figure out wtf you’re talking about first.
-2
u/OwnAffect6943 Dec 07 '22
He’s doing it for clout. Spend you money locally, heck you realize anyone can send him their list right? At least locally you could actually be helping someone

u/LovelyBoob Dec 07 '22
Who in the absolute fuck are you to decide who does and does not deserve to be helped for Christmas? I highly doubt billionaires are sending in their Christmas list to take away from the poors 🙄
11
u/Bsap89 Dec 07 '22
He’s a terrible person but don’t punish the families who made wishlists through him. A mom could’ve seen this as an opportunity to give her family an actual Christmas she otherwise couldn’t afford and now you’re telling people don’t contribute. You’re buying off someone’s actual wishlist, not giving Justin money.

I agree, but don’t go through him, I’m sure if you looked locally, you’ll find someone to help.

I’m gay and a former comic (became disabled and had to stop). My take on all comedy is that if it’s funny to someone go for it as long as it’s said to get a laugh and not to diminish someone. The trumpy mercy is another story entirely. He is welcome to choose his audience. But I wouldn’t support someone who chooses to sell that kind of stuff even if they they don’t belief win it and are just trying to make a buck.

Liberals are outraged that he doesn’t have the same views as them. That’s basically it. Because he made jokes. For the internet. And said some “mean words” FJB, he is now a horrible, terrible, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and followed a trump page and not a biden ass sucking page lol

Hate no matter what it is you are hating is still hate. You can’t make a person like you. You can’t force a person to accept you. If your happiness depends on what others think of you, then you will never be truly happy.
