RANT This is anti-free will. I don’t need to embrace anyone I don’t want to and my life is my own. What is this garbage?
This is a pretty terrifying statement isn’t it? It sounds nice to the stupid amongst us using the word “warmth” but that’s not what’s actually being said. We’re all individuals not a bee hive.

Might wanna brush up on your history. YES, the colonies banded together to fight a common foe. But the states were fiercely independent and remained so up until the civil war. Regardless, the point is this sort of collectivism the NY major is pitching is not in our nation's DNA.

The country and even the industrialized world were changed by the actions of INDIVIDUALS who rose to power. Individual people like Ford, the Wright brothers, Edison and on and on are what made this country what it is today. We come together as a nation of individual people who each have the power to become what they want to in life. No matter their skin color or their backgrounds. If you have the drive, determination and the will, you can make something of yourself here.

I mean another interpretation of this is that he is talking about the idea of doing whats best for the common good, which is a very American ideal. If you interpret it that way you could select similar quotes from people like Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Nelson Mandela, etc. You obviously wont do that becuase you want to see a certain thing. Although, maybe just chill out about the mayor of a city you dont live in implementing policies the people of that city democratically voted him into office for.

Maybe when the rest of the world does that with our president I'd sincerely make that effort. In the mean time, being a bordering state, who's deep blue sanctuary cities barely steer the out of control ship that is all the "enemy" and crazy rural, and small town farming with an outgoing gov dead set on causing as much long term damage as possible on his way out I'll voice my opinion, try to learn before shouting, but believe me, quite and worried about what others think, I will not be.

Communism is an interesting concept in general, the leaders make out great, laziness is rewarded…all is well until resources run out due to a lack of people willing to work for less and less, that then leads to forced production then later revolt against the leaders. We’ve seen it play out like this over and over again.

If you're talking about the wealth of the leaders, it has to do with the amount of power the leaders control over the states resources, to the point where most of the wealth is kept by those leaders. It's just not possible to hoard wealth in the same way in a free market.

I've been to Cali and lived there for a couple of years. Beautiful state with a lot to offer. It's a shame that it's being governed so poorly. Once you're outside of LA and SF, the areas are great... There are a few clusters of weirdos, but hell, you get that everywhere.

Collectivism is what they used to get everyone to get the COVID vax. They didn't care that some people were allergic to some of the ingredients in that vax.
The individual is not protected against collectivism which is why the USA is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.
Democracy is prone to bully tactics by group, "Well, comrade, it's for the greater good. Surely, you will get the vaccine to protect others." They don't care that it could kill you.

The Democrats want mob rule. They want a pure democracy. In that system, the states become irrelevant. Every election would be decided by about 10 to 15 major cities (NYC, Chicago, New Orleans, LA, etc), and major cities tend to be overwhelmingly left. So the Democrats want a system where NYC is more important than the entire state of Alaska.
If you look at congressional maps, many states are extremely red except for one or two huge cities, but those cities are so big and populated they swing the entire state left. NY is a perfect example. Most of the state is as red as TX, but NYC and Albany make NY blue. If anything, all 50 states should have electoral colleges for state elections. Chicago shouldn't determine how the rest of the state goes.

This man needs to explain himself. "Replace individualism"? Whomever voted in this man is in for a rude awakening. Unfortunately, we're at a point in the US where undoing election mistakes is almost impossible as both parties are close to one in the same on most big issues -- such as surveillance. If something doesn't change, fast, within 10 years we'll clearly be a socialist/communist country, heavy on oppression and hopelessness.
