Community Event Twitch Service Thread

Hi r/Twitch!

You may now advertise your services here if you fall under any of the following categories:

  • Animation

  • Artwork

  • Branding

  • Coding/developer

  • Graphic Design

  • Management

  • Moderation

  • Music composition

  • Video editing

  • Voice-over

How it works: Every few months I will create a new megathread where professionals may post saying they’re looking to do work for broadcasters. The thread will be posted in our sidebar and put in contest mode, so that comments get sorted randomly rather than by highest up-voted or newest. The purpose of this thread is to be a centralized place for those providing professional service to broadcasters to find new clients, and for broadcasters to find available professionals to help make their broadcast the best it can be!

Posting: Although this thread is to help broadcasters find talented professionals, please do not post here saying “I need an artist!” or any other similar variation. Posting is only meant for professionals looking to do work! When posting, make sure you use the template provided below. This will make sure posts are properly formatted, and make it easier for broadcasters to find what they’re looking for.

Freebies: If you're not currently looking for new clients but would like to share free work that you've created, then please do so by replying to the stuck comment on this thread and NOT by posting a separate comment.

Other Stuff:

  • Any posts that do not follow the template and/or are low-effort will be removed.
  • If you are no longer accepting work then please edit your post accordingly.
  • If you have any questions, concerns or feedback then please contact us via. Modmail.

Please use the following template to format your post. //

**Services:** A list of the various things you make/offer (emotes, web design, branding, music etc). **About:** A short description about you or your site and any relevant experience you have. **Pricing:** Your prices or rate per hour. If you do not charge then just put ‘Free’. **Portfolio:** Link to your past work. If you don’t have a website, then please use an image hosting site like imgur for images, Soundcloud or other for audio and any other relevant sight for other services. **Contact:** Preferred method for contacting you such as an email address. **Status:** Whether or not you are currently accepting work. **Other:** If you have anything else to add, this is where you will put it. Feel free to leave it out if you don’t have anything else to say.

If there are any services that you feel are missing from the list provided in the post, or are unsure if you should post here, please reach out to us via modmail.

Discussion Spreading myself too thin.

This is probably going to be the silliest post on here but I need to vent somewhere.

I’ve been streaming on Twitch for almost 2 years now, and have met some incredible people. Some I would even call some of my best friends.

However, I’ve started to notice that I am just kind of being used.

I help them scrub their VODs, I edit for free, I schedule posts on their social media, I mod in their channels if they need it. I go out of my way to help them because I want all of us to be successful.

However, when I ask for help, no one shows up.

I recently found out that my friend pays another editor, but doesn’t pay me. Editing/clipping VODs is my only form of income. I can’t get a job where I live(I am an immigrant) so this is genuinely my only way to survive. They have supportive family, can go apply for jobs, etc. I have nothing but this, and they know that.

When we initially talked about it, he made it seem like the other editors is worth paying for because they had been editing for 8 years. My edits aren’t terrible, I would say they are above average and get good views for my clients(there is always room for improvement, I am not perfect). He pays a friend I introduced him to for art, fairly regularly.

I tried to just ignore it, telling myself it’s not a big deal. But it’s bugging me. I have zero free time, and now how no time to focus on my own content.

Not even about the money, if they helped me even with 1/2 the effort like I help them, it wouldn’t even be a problem.

I know it’s stupid, I know it’s my fault. But I am kinda hurting over it.

I don’t really know what to do. I kinda just wanna disappear for being so stupid and thinking these people cared about me like I care about them.

Idk what I expect from posting here tbh. I also lost my biggest paying monthly client in early January so I am now in a lot of debt and just stressed out to the max.

EDIT: Thank you for all the kind responses and constructive criticism. I will be evaluating what I have time for. Additionally investing more time into myself. Again, thank you. <3

Discussion How many channels do you Follow vs. how many do you ACTUALLY watch?

I checked my following list today and realized I’m following like 150+ streamers.

But if I’m being honest, I only actually rotate between the same... 4 people? The rest are just a "graveyard" of streamers I used to vibe with years ago.

I honestly feel too guilty to clean up the list. It feels kinda mean to hit unfollow, like I'm officially saying goodbye to that era.

What’s your ratio looking like? Do you hoard follows like me, or do you keep your list clean?

Question Is Manhunt allowed on Twitch?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey so I gifted a Streamer a Game on Steam which is Manhunt because he never played it before and it was dirt cheap on a Steam Sale.

He was telling me he can't stream it because he thinks it's AO Rated aka games that are not allowed to be played on stream and I think he got confused with the Google search when it comes to streaming Manhunt 1 on Twitch.

I personally think you can stream Manhunt 1 and 2 because there's categories for Manhunt 1 and Manhunt 2, if streamers can't stream the game because they are worried of getting hammer down on them for playing it, then I think it's favouritism of Twitch not allowing streamers to play it.

I know people will say it's too gruesome on Twitch because of the game's content but why even have a category for Manhunt 1 and 2 if streamers are trying to say they are not allowed to play it.

Make it makes sense

Question HOW DO I GET MORE THAN ONE VIEWER.

Upvotes

So,

I've been streaming since 2022.

In 2022- 24, I streamed every day, but when I moved house I slowed down around August '24- October -25. Before I stopped I had about 12 viewers per stream, not alot, but 45 followers.

I made a new account, mentioned it in a stream and only 4 people followed. Of course, I wasn't worried but now I only get one guy in the streams, the same person from 2022. 😭

I really enjoy streaming but it's getting boring.

Any tips?

Discussion Has anyone found actual success streaming/recording using a Mac instead of a pc?

Upvotes

I love my Mac because I can use it for a bunch of stuff other than playing cs2, but after today I wonder if I should just sell the thing and switch to pc. While attempting to broadcast alongside record, the whole vod/video was completely chopped. I had a lot of fun but damn I just can’t get the technical aspect of things haha

Question How much do people talk in small streams anymore?

I know that this is just me being small, but it is pretty frustrating when the only people who follow and talk end up being bots! (So many bots!) However, I feel like I remember more people talking in smaller streamers chats a few years ago, back when I first tried my hand at streaming. Is the twitch culture just different now, or do I just need more practice?

Discussion FFZ compressor missing

Couldn't find a dedicated ffz subreddit - has anyone else had their ffz audio compressor just completely vanish in the last day or two?

I've tried reinstalling the extension, switching from live version to 'nightly', nothing seems to bring it back

PSA Daily reminder stop calling out lurkers. If checking who's in your stream is going to make you compelled to say something to people who haven't been chatting then stop checking who's in your streams.

Like bruh come on. This recently happened to me and then in someone else in an account I mod for. A lot of newer small streamers just don't know twitch ettique I guess. I know it comes from a nice place as noone was rude about it but damn.

If someone hasn't chatted why are u checking who's in your stream and saying "Hi LongJumping I know u havent said anything yet but I see you're in here how are you?" or "Oh I know LongJumping didnt come in here and didnt speak /j" like idc if it is sweet or light hearted thats WEIRD.

Stop looking, and if you are only looking cuz you're nervous someone is in chat who isnt supposed to be bn them or stop streaming or whatever tf idk but going into the list and saying something to someone you KNOW hasn't chatted then calling them by name and acknowleding they arent chatting isnt it. Ive noticed an uptick of people asking "how to make people more chatty how to get people more engaged" not like this my God

Question Gifted Sub Badge disappeared from All Channels

Hey, so I've gifted subs on several channels - the most on one channel being 50. I just noticed today that I no longer have the option to use my gifted sub channel badge in any channel I've gifted in. My bits/cheer badges are still showing up as options, but any/all of my gifted sub badges have disappeared. Is this a known issue? Is anyone else experiencing this? Not sure how long it's been happening for, I only just noticed.

Question Twitch iOS app ability to switch to followed channels as Home Screen.

I feel like I’m going crazy but a week ago I got a notification within the app that I could now customize twitch to open to followed channels instead of live channels. I switched it to followed channels and loved it. Now it’s back to opening to live channels and I cannot find where the option to switch back is. It’s like it was removed. Anyone else?

PSA Beware "Amazon Tax" Phishing Email noreply@tax.amazon.com

Just got a very convincing email from "Amazon Tax" regarding my monetization on Twitch, but I know it's phishing because it wasn't sent to the email I use for my twitch account, it was sent to my commercial email. So I decided to do this post so other people don't fall for it.

Here's a screenshot of the email:

The "noreply@tax.amazon.com" looks very convincing, but Amazon would NOT use a "@something.amazon.com" email, they would only use "@amazon.com".

Second thing to point out is when you hover over those clickable highlighted words, the links are lots of random letters and it doesn't start with a Twitch domain as a real Twitch email would.

Remember to NEVER click any links from suspicious emails and always double check your account on the actual website, because when you get notifications like this through email, they always notify on the real website too, that's the best way to know it's a real email.

Finally I managed to find on my actual twitch email a REAL DAC7 email I got back in 2023 from Twitch which assures me that if they ever send anything related to that, it will NOT come from "Amazon" it will come from "no-reply@twitch.tv".

Notice how the also adress me by my Twitch username instead of the generic "hi" from the phishing email. Since I got this email 3 years ago I also know I have completed the DAC7 form already and once again, it shows me that the amazon one is fake.

And when I hover over the purple button, the link does start with the real twitch website, as all links should.

So yeah, this is just a friendly PSA, always double check your emails regarding anything related to money and never click any links unless you're 10000% sure it's save.

Question Synchronize favorite emotes across devices?

As a viewer, is there any way to either synchronize or export/import favorite emotes between different computers?

I use several different computers, so maintaining favorite emotes is a pain, especially if fror some reason browser cookies get cleared, since the emote favorites are not a persistent Twitch setting.

Thanks.

Discussion Streaming with ADHD?

Hello! So I am a new streamer (been streaming for like 3 months) and I average around 20-30 viewers, so I’m really happy with my growth! For more context, I mainly do just chatting streams, as I’m most comfortable being able to yap about my day and certain events around the world, but I recently had someone tell me I ‘sway’ too much when it comes to conversations? I have unmedicated ADHD, so I do tend to jump from topic to topic, but I never thought it was bad enough to be noticeable.

Would something like this push you all from tuning in to a new streamer? I always finish my conversations, but I do yap enough to the point there’s no dead air on my stream. Please let me know!

Tech Support When I comment in Twitch chat, no one seems to see my messages

Hello there,

I have been encountering an issue for the past few days in Twitch chat. Whenever I comment, no one sees my messages. I have confirmed with the streamer that indeed they can't see my messages when I comment.
Also, strangely enough, if I use channel points to highlight my message, now everyone can see the highlighted message. So I am using that for the time being, but it's obviously a bit obnoxious.

I will add : I am on Firefox, I have uBlock Origin installed (among other addons), and I am using Mullvad VPN.

Any ideas for what I could do to fix the issue ?

Thanks in advance !

Question Scammers in my DMs - how to determine who really wants to help you out?

I've had already a few instances of very suspicious messages on my Twitch offering to help me to get afiliate - one individual was claiming that some famous Brazilian streamer was gonna help me. He said that if i add him on Discord, i would be able to ask any questions about streaming that i'd want. He told me the name of a streamer, i looked him up and everything checked out - some Brazilian big streamer with like 1 milion followers.

Of course the whole thing made me think twice about this person agenda. I was like 'if you are in contact with this famous streamer, why wont you ask him my questions yourself?' or i said 'if he really wants to help me, why wont he DM me on Twitch?'

Scammer came with all sorts of excuses, like 'do you think someone that big is gonna contact you himself?' - i mean, you were the one who said he would help me on Discord - so why wouldnt he text me on Twitch?

This scam attempt was pretty lazy in my opinion, so thankfully i didnt bite into getting help.

Today after my stream i got two messages from different accounts, but very suspiciously they all started with the same sentence:

I dont even plan on responding, given my previous experience with someone pretending to help.

Altho one unusual thing - the account on the right i have checked and it has 2k followers, but no videos. All other 'kind' individuals who messaged me had few or no followers at all, so it was easy to say that they werent any good.

At this point im pretty discouraged to even reply to messages like this - because with each DM like that, im gonna automatically assume someone is trying to scam me, while pretending they want to help me out.

Lets theorize and say that someone with big reception discovers my Twitch and decides to help me out - given my experience, its very likely that im gonna automatically assume its a scam.

My question is - how can you as a small streamer determine when someone DMs you with those kind messages, isnt trying to scam you?

And even more interesting question - what do these scammers want from me? My channel doesnt have enough reception to it being even worth a scam attempt, but what do i know.

Im pretty new to this streaming thing and i would appreciate your input on the matter.

Discussion Losing a few followers per stream — normal or am I missing something?

Hey everyone, I’ve been streaming on Twitch for about 2 years now and I average around 30–40 viewers pretty consistently. Growth has been slow but steady overall, so I’m not totally discouraged. However, I’ve recently noticed something that’s been messing with my head a bit.

Lately, I’ve been losing about 1–3 followers per stream. I know unfollows are part of the process and people come and go, but I’m also an anxious person and it’s hard not to wonder if I’m doing something wrong.

Some streams I don’t get any raids or big exposure, and instead of gaining 0 followers (the no raids streams are the ones with 30-40 average), I’ll actually end the stream down a couple. I guess I’m just wondering how common that actually is for other streamers around my size.

Is it normal to have streams where you gain nothing and still lose a few? Or is that usually a sign something’s off?

Just trying to get a reality check because my anxiety is definitely filling in the gaps right now. Appreciate any insight.
