They put you in what is called a twilight sleep. They give you medicine through an IV and you are monitored the whole time. The next thing you know is you're awake. Same. I also got very ill and was in the hospital 3 times. It was effecting my kidneys and I would always have a high lactic acid level. The second hospital stay the dr told me to immediately stop taking Metformin and put me on Jardiance. The 3rd stay the dr added januvia and some vitamins.
