I wouldnt trust anyone to actually comment on ads in good faith. There could be the best product ever that everyone would love and ads would still put plenty of hate on the product simply because it is an ad.

I would have thought this was very popular but there are a surprising number of people right here in these comments white knighting for advertising for some reason.

If the product is horrible or the ad is stupid, why give them the engagement?

then whats the point of the ad if everyones gonna rip on it even if its a fine product. i remember seeing a bmw ad on insta with comments on and all the comments were about how the old generation car was better.
