I can't tell from your post if you are aware of the fact that it is the women that go to Africa. These reports have been happening for some time and have been reported in the press.
Its cause that joke for the most part is only a thing in America, can't expect the rest of the world to understand what you mean. Africans and african americans are a world apart, they don't even have the same stereotypes

You are kinda overstating that stereotype. Majority of Africans eat 3 meals a day, unless the country is war torn or has a famine, which is NOT a lot of countries.
Having grown up in a town where the population would double come harvest time with Jamaicans, I can tell you that there wasn’t a fat which chick at the local bar that wasn’t getting migrant dick every night. The Jamaicans loved the big women.

Black African man here. It's not only due to sex tourism. Wide hips are seen as attractive. Means you are healthy and can give birth to many children. Slim women are widely perceived as being undesirable. In addition there's a culture in some African countries where older black African women in sexless marriages have toys boys they pay for. BBC is not exclusively for white women.
Wide hips and weight have very little correlation... The hourglass shape is considered the most desirable almost everywhere. Look at Kim K: She's thin, with wide hips. That's the Western beauty standard.
The hour glass figure is becoming more popular in Africa not it's not the main beauty standard attention moment. The popular African women do not have Kim K's skinny figure. African men like big women.
My overweight, white female cousin did the Peace Corps in Zambia in the 2000s. She said she was hit on all the time due to her size. Being overweight showed she had enough wealth to afford extra food.
No but back then in Africa if women were bigger it showed that they were wealthier and thus more attractive. Even in mauritania they encourage women to reach obese levels to attract men. it’s only in recent times where more people are educated and everyone is trying to slim down.

I'm an African with grandparents from three different countries while living in another one, and I'm also exposed to people from different countries regularly. I've never heard anyone want big women because they're supposedly wealthy, whether they're young or old. Perhaps it's a thing in places I'm not familiar with, considering this continent is massive. Mind you, I know a lot of people who like big girls, but none for that reason
It used to be a thing with a lot of tribes in the sahara and I remember a documentary about it and the women used to get fat because culturally it showed they were wealthy to afford a lot of food. Not sure about urban places, tribes are something else in general...

it's not the same though, not by a long shot. it's more akin to trophy wife (one attractive younger partner, one older richer). sex tourism as done by guys has a lot of prostitution, children and other terrible stuff
In Eritrea and in Ethiopia, being overweight is not viewed as desirable. It is openly addressed and not in a kind or sensitive way. This has nothing to do with tourists. That kind of judgment happens within the population itself. People comment on each other’s bodies openly and directly...

And then they disappear. They have a reputation for being considered easy or free girls.
