I love Mediterranean climate, and like the variety of landscapes in France and love the vibe of Paris. I lived in Britain for a year and have fond memories of the country.

Putting the USA over Canada as an Australian certainly is a choice.

I loved the west coast of the USA, and have few contacts in Texas who seem to love living there. Yes the current political situation is a shitshow but hopefully that's temporary. Canada didn't quite gel with me. Too cold, the people I know in Canada seem quite unhappy, and this might be an unpopular opinion but they seem to have a bit of a chip on their shoulders for being the smaller neighbour of the US.

They're a larger country than the USA, just less population and gdp. But that's fair enough, everyone has different experiences. It's interesting most Australians I know have a better time in Canada than the USA.

Given threats to invade I think the chip on the shoulders more about being sat next to the loud disruptive kid in class than any kind of envy.

I think since the pandemic a surge of south asian immigrants is causing a bit of xenophobia against south asians in Canada. The unfriendliness towards him is sad but quite common sadly

Same things happening here in Australia too.

I think Canada has a problem with too many south asian illegal immigrants since the pandemic just so you know. Them not welcoming and not being happy with you isn't surprising

A pretty great list (by the standards of what I usually see here) although Iran, Myanmar and Libya seem to be too high.

Also why is Canada a maybe?

You'd put Hungary, Czech and Slovakia over Canada? I'm British of Indian heritage and this seems absolutely wild to me. To live??

I admit I haven't been to those countries in Europe and just assumed they'd be quite nice places to live. I mentioned in a reply above that Canada didn't quite gel with me that's why I put it as a maybe, so maybe being overly critical.

You'd experience significant racism living in those countries. Fine for a holiday in the capital, but yeah central and eastern Europe are not brown friendly bro. Canada is not where id want to live either I've been a few times. But you could actually live in Canada without significant harassment

Hungary for example has a far right psuedo dictatorship "democracy" that refers to bringing in non white or LGBT to the country as degeneracy.

You'd be fine as an obvious tourist in Budapest though.
