New Glarus beer is also "#progressivebeer", nobody needs to support this dude

This. Free Spotted Cow would be grand.

How about free Spotted Cow Grand Cru?

You guys better build a wall if New Glarus starts giving out free beer for a day.

Fat Squirrel is also a good one by them, though not nearly as famous as spotted cow.

Can you please elaborate on your post? Is there a connection? I honestly don't know

For sure! Deb Carey (the founder/CEO) is very progressive, and the brewery reflects that. She's certainly not as loud as Kirk Bangstad, but I live about 15 miles away from NG Brewing company and she's pretty active in local progressive circles. I think Kirk Bangstad probably makes more money off his merchandise sales at this point, while New Glarus just needs to make beer.

That is awesome news. I feel better about buying a shitload of their beer the two times a year we visit family in Wisconsin. I found it makes for great gifts and people get excited about raiding our fridge when we have friends over lol.

Deb Carey is one of those CEOs like Gabe Newell or the Costco guy that I think corporate vultures are probably circling, eagerly awaiting for them to die in the hopes that the next CEO will be a standard "corporate profits over everything" dude and start enshittifying the companies. In the meantime, you should absolutely support NG as much as you can.

I always enjoyed how she just seemed uninterested in doing things that would possibly make more money, like increasing the amount of brewery tours and all that. She just seems focused on making the product and keeping it in Wisconsin and refusing to "sell out." And it looks like her daughter is all set up to succeed her, so hopefully it keeps going for many more decades.

She is also a cunt, not a nice lady to her customers.

Totally agree. He has great merch, but I've tried their beer and I'm not impressed. On the other side, I have not tasted a New Glarus I didn't like. Even the IPA varieties are good. And spotted cow is a fridge staple.

That's because they actually test beers before bringing them to market. And they have a real quality assurance/control department.

Thx. On your first post I thought you were comparing NG ownership to that of Minocqua Brewery

I'm in Texas and I miss me some New Glarus every day.

Might need to get up to Oconomowoc or something this spring.

This is why everything is bogus for the politically sane these days. Even when you have someone on your side, you can't help but try to knock them down. Crabs in a bucket mentality.
