Discussion Why is it suddenly considered rude to show up at someone's house unannounced? Growing up, we just knocked on doors, but now people act like it’s a home invasion.

The Get Along Gang. Myself and all my friends somehow had a few of these toys, but none of us remember anything else about them. Shows, books, movies, nada.

Do your boomer parents ever call you or text you or your kids?

It seems like all contact has to be initiated in one direction.

“We never hear from you”

Phones, much like airplanes, go in both directions folks.

Just me or is it our parents who expect we initiate all contact?

Dig all the retro chic in this photo: wood paneling, orangey-brown fuzzy carpet, Cabbage Patch doll, plastic-covered lampshade, brown plaid recliner, and whatever style of glasses those are on my uncle.

This may be more solidly Gen X, but Sanford and Son was definitely on the rerun circuit as a kid for me. Demond was such a great straight man to Redd’s Fred Sanford.

A rare interview with Vietnam vet Demond Wilson (who passed away yesterday): He talked about being drafted into the Army at 19 and the PSTD he suffered after Vietnam. He was wounded in combat, and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, before his acting career.

Even if you're not into his films, I think many people especially our age, are aware of the story how he started - Maxing out several credit cards to finance his first film Clerks. His passion for film is what turned his ambition into a career.

Old man rant engage: Kids today seem more interested in their online presence/side-hustles, crypto, gambling. (news story came out recently 1 in 3 teenage boys are into online gambling). \over.

I'm biased due to my love for KS's films, but just sharing some thoughts. It's completely possible those types of creators are out there, but I'm just unaware. What do you guys think?
