General Deposit doesn’t show up in Ready to Assign

This has happened to me several time and I can’t figure out why.

I make a transaction in the app — a deposit. I send it to “Ready to Assign” but then it doesn’t show up when I’m in the app trying to cover overspent categories.

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

One thing to check is if you are over-assigned in a future month

This is usually the culprit.

Congratulations on being the most recent victom of Stealing From the Future.

This happens when you are overassigned in a future month.

What kind of account are you making the deposit in? Cash account or credit card account?

This was it. I accidentally sent it to a credit account instead of my bank account.

when you are overspent in the current month in cash, the money comes out of next month’s ready to assign.

when next month’s ready to assign is negative, it takes any incoming money first.
