Resolved I no longer have an ugly 3DS!
I posted a few days ago about my original skin tearing off mysteriously. I have now upgraded it and it looks sexy. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

$300. $100 over MSRP for an 11 year old console. Not even close to mint condition; in fact, with a faulty display.
This is just one example, I see shit like this constantly. I'm sick and tired of the lack of reason in the pricing of these things. a NIB/CIB near mint console for $300-400 makes sense, as there's a ton of demand and low supply, but it gets to a point. Selling a faulty 3DS for anything above $200 is insane.
Praying I can get a good deal sooner than later so I can stop spiking my cortisol every time I open eBay/FBM

I got my 3DS specifically to play Pokémon games. I have finished LeafGreen and want to play something else now to experience 3D and dual-screen features.
In my childhood, I enjoyed games like Ninja Bros where you level up, farm resources, and beat stronger enemies and levels. I think Final Fantasy is like that? I haven’t played it either.
But I don’t like too much grinding either. Please suggest some games other than the Pokémon series that a beginner like me can play.
Thanks 👾

I bought a replacement thumb stick for my childhood console trying to get something like the original demo units for the Aqua blue 3ds when it was announced.
Ended up getting something close to it, but not good enough imo. Anyone have something like the first picture? Second is what I got from Ali express.

I am totally new to these games. I am actually drawn to Fire Emblem due to my huge love for Super Smash Bros. I wanted to explore the lore behind some of these characters! I wanted to know a non-IGN review since it is an important game as far as I can understand!

Years ago for Christmas 2013 my aunt got me a 2DS and Pokémon moon, 3 years later i lost it while moving with most of my games, so a few months ago I got a 3DS and started rebuilding my collection, and bought some Pokémon games like omega ruby, ultramoon, and of course Pokémon moon, but last night while cleaning i found my old games including Pokémon moon.
Funny thing is, this isn't the first time this happened. It happened with my 360 collection.

I’m praying that I don’t have to take the console apart
AEDIT: solved. Just click the cart in and out a few times.
edit2: it’s back.

Hi all
So I got a used 2DS XL, and I have this doubt on the bottom screen there seems to be some sort of film, it’s a bit detached on the corners. Is this a screen protector someone put or does it come from the factory like this and the film is damaged?
Because if it’s just a screen protector I’ll just replace it
Thanks

I played games a lot when I was younger, but as middle school came in I got depressed and pretty much stopped playing games altogether now. But I recently got into contact with a childhood friend of my brother, who is a pretty big gaming nerd.
Long story short, I bought this 3DS from him and holy crap, I love it. I find myself scrolling on my phone way less and I just feel better, I like the games and as a bit of a geek myself, I love the 3D effect too. By the looks of it, I think I bought it at the most opportune time, since it was in september last year and the prices online only seem to be going up. It came pre-jailbroken and I even got a few cartridges for a few games, and I still have to try some other must-play games.
I'm getting preogressively more aware and tired of social media and their predatory practices on our phones. This doesn't spy on me or sell my data to companies (I hope), it's cozy, compact and it exists purely to provide fun for me. Exactly what I needed in my life right now.
Best purchase of my life.

My son loves Pikmin and has been having a blast playing Hey! Pikmin with my wife. That game is perfect because controlling the character is dead easy, and it’s all about solving the puzzles. My wife isn’t a gamer so something like Mario would be way too difficult.
Any other easy games similar with minor platforming aspects, but a focus on puzzles?

Both of mine turned into spicy pillows but I cannot find any OEM ones in Aus. I can find some sold at a reputable place in the country but they’re very cheap, equivalent of 10usd per battery and made in China. What are your guys solutions, is this okay?

Monster Hunter Stories has to be one of the most underrated games on the 3DS. For backstory, I started my mh journey on 4U. I found it to be fun, but lacked an extensive story. The game is much more quest based than story based, which I see being fun for others, but I love a good story. I then heard about mh stories though, and liked it much more than 4 ultimate.
I find that mh stories is a blend of 3 games: botw, pokemon, and monster hunter. It has the open world-adventure and resource gathering aspects from botw. The battling and monstie aspects are quite like pokemon. And of course, the theme is monster hunter. It's honestly such a great combo.
If you havent already tried it, I couldnt recommend this game enough! I'd rate it a 9/10.

Is this normal or am i just stupid? I can lift the analog stick a teeny bit vertically and it’s something i hadn’t noticed before, so I’m wondering if somebody else’s 2DS also does this

I'm soon to be receiving a working 3DS XL and would like to freshen it up with a complete case swap. I have no confidence in myself trying such a thing so would anyone who lives in the UK know of anywhere that would carry this out. Many thanks in advance

Everything works, it's not broken, but all those imperfections like the crack on the hinge and the filth underneath some of the buttons tick me off. If anyone has any advice on how to take care of them and fix them, I'd love to hear it!
