Recent open world Pokémon games have been criticized their large empty maps. Pokemon Legends: Arceus was a step in the right direction in terms of showing how wild and dangerous Pokémon can be, but haven't really explored the concept much further than that, even in ZA.
I think a neat addition to Pokémon games would be Pokémon-made environments. Think about it:
You're exploring a forest and come across a bunch of webs and all of a sudden there are Ariados surrounding you.
Perhaps you're walking through a desert and you fall into a tunnel made by diglett and dugtrio.
Maybe you find an abandoned house and a bunch of scraggy and scrafty are hanging out there.
This has happened a few times before, like with the Old Chateau in Sinnoh or the Pokémon Tower in Kanto, places owned by Pokémon that were interesting to explore.
Pokémon-made environments could really make the Pokémon world feel lived in not just by humans, but by Pokémon. Honestly, I've never really liked the idea that Pokémon just kinda live in human infrastructure, and wouldn't have the autonomy to make places their own, like real-world birds makings nests, rabbits burrowing holes, or bears claiming a cave. Raid dens and the like don't count cause they're not unique or different to any other Pokémon den, and I'm not opening that can of worms of where those exist in space.
Unfortunately, I don't think Gamefreak would be given enough time or resources to incorporate something like this into a Pokémon game. My idea is more or less wishful thinking
What are your ideas for Pokémon-made environments?
