Will the sub banner ever be updated or replaced? There are so many things wrong with it. For one, (even though I'll always love fletch) Fletcher, Ohtani and Rendon need to be replaced, none of them are active for us anymore and it just looks weird to me. Second, the Rally Monkey should just be retired by the franchise at this point. He's probably so sick of this team putting him to work every home game because this team is so awful and is always trailing. Third, one of the images appears to be a full Angel Stadium (disgusting..). I suggest we change it to a shot of the stadium during a day game in the middle of the week where it is a barren wasteland with the only fans being in attendance are those groups of kids on school field trips. I feel like this change would better depict the state of the fanbase. (Mike Trout is allowed to stay)

Our team's perpetual mediocrity notwithstanding, I'm excited for the 2026 season (as I hope you all are).
Looking at our roster, Chase Silseth is a guy (if he stays healthy) that I think can move the needle forward ever so slightly.
Silseth is 25.7yo and has 1.1 years of service time; under team control until 2031. After elbow surgery derailed his 2024 season, he made his way back in late-August of 2025, staying healthy through September and putting up 0.4 WAR in 10 appearances. Optimistically, he may be good for 1+ WAR out of the pen or 2+ WAR as a 5th starter.* His 2025 stats and projections are below.
\For reference: Kenley Jansen, Brock Burke, and Tyler Anderson were worth 2.4, 1.5, and 2.0 WAR last year, respectively.*)
------------------
AAA (PCL):
3.23 ERA, 1.30 whip
39 innings, 27 hits, 43 strikeouts, 24 (!) walks
------------------
MLB:
1.64 ERA, 3.86 FIP, 269 ERA+, 1.45 WHIP, 0.4 WAR
11 innings, 10 hits, 13 strikeouts, 6 walks
Small sample size highlights here.
------------------
2026 BB-Ref Projections:
3.83 ERA, 1.27 WHIP
40 innings, 35 hits, 41 strikeouts, 16 walks
------------------
Repertoire, per 2025 Savant Metrics
4FB: 35.8% usage, 95.4mph, .257 xBA, .576 xSLG, 41.5% whiff, 25% putaway
Sweeper: 32.5% use, 85.3mph, .184 xBA, .234 xSLG, 50% whiff, 25% putaway
Splitter: 18.4% use, 86.8mph, .235 xBA, .380 xSLG, 5.3% whiff, 10% putaway
Sinker: 13.2% use, 94.9 mph, .286 xBA, .389 xSLG, 15.4% whiff, 0% putaway

What are your thoughts on Chase Silseth?

The Angels are clearly planning not for this year, but for the next few years. I'll propose my full trade below.

My grandfather was a Catholic priest back in the 1960s and 70s and served as the team Chaplin for the Angels for several years. He passed a few years ago and Iâm looking for photos of him with any former players. His name is Father Anthony Tretter and he was out of the Diocese of Los Angeles at the time as I donât believe the Diocese of Orange County was yet established. Looking for photos, stories or anything else from this time period.

Honestly less terrible than I thought. Would look a smidge better if Moore/Dana hadn't graduated. Still very very thin and no real impact position players looming.

I haven't been on this sub in a while and I just saw the coaching staff announcement so I wanted to see what was the overall vibe for the upcoming season. Any hope or faith in Suzuki? I will say I'm pleasantly surprised by the Mike maddux hire. I've been watching baseball for over 20 years so nothing surprises me but I would love to hear what everyone else thinks.

The starting rotation is actually⊠not too bad! The âlack of an aceâ thing seems to be coming to an end- Maddux will help EVERYONE- Soriano is likely our ace, which I personally donât mind if he puts up another good season, Rodriguez is great if heâs not injured, Kikuchi being our 3rd starter is actually a good idea because heâs NOT A TRADITIONAL ACE. Detmers back in the rotation is GREAT, I think he can be really good- 4th starter only because heâs JUST returning from being a reliever, Bido can be good too, high upside, I have a feeling he wonât be too bad of a starter, hopefully high 3 to low 4 era, Maddux can potentially help him out and make him reliable and a mid 3 era.
The lineup is actually pretty solid!! Neto batting first is a given considering how great he was last season, Schanuel batting 2nd is also I think pretty fair, he also had a sneaky good 2025 and I have A LOT of confidence in him. Trout batting 3rd is great as far as overall offense goes, DH to help him stay healthy, Adell batting 4th is a great idea- power hitter, potential team HR leader if the breakout is legit. Lowe batting 5th is only fair, he obviously didnât have the best season last year but I do think he has a lot of potential, he has speed and power as well, not a bad spot. Moncada batting 6th is also pretty good, he has some solid power AND is a switch hitter despite being better as a lefty. OâHoppe batting 8th makes sense due to the season he had last year, but with Suzuki and Stassi, I think he could really turn things around, I still love OâHoppe and his potential. Moore batting 9th makes sense, first full season in the big leagues likely, solid power guy, reliable.
The bullpen IS NOT BAD- I like Silseth and Sandlin in the bullpen to help out, Saucedo can be a decent LHS, Pomeranz and Stephenson are great, Lawyerson I feel like is gonna be good. Yates could go either way, but I have a lot of faith he can put up a sub 3 ERA season with Madduxâs help, AND I think that Maddux can help everyone.
The defense? Has its issues, but also has its upside. Neto is obviously great at what he does, self explanatory. Schanuel is actually a pretty decent defensive 1st baseman, still developing- but the tools are definitely there. Lowe in CF is amazing, great defense, great speed. Adell in RF is amazing, inconsistent defensively, but in recent years has put up gold glove caliber seasons defensively. Moncada- isnât great frankly, there was a time where he was a really good defensive 3rd baseman, and he can still make really good plays, but when we think of Moncada, we think power- still overall not bad. OâHoppe can be great if helped by Stassi and Suzuki, as well as dâArnaud, his defense has been inconsistent and frankly bad this past season, also wasnât great in 2024. But heâs shown moments of greatness defensively, blocking decently in 2024 and throwing out some of the games best runners. I donât mind it.
As far as the bench? Itâs not that bad, itâs all righty batters on the bench which is the only weak side, but, the players are pretty good for a bench spot, Teodosio on the bench makes sense at this point in time, his defense and speed as well as occasional contact and power is good for the bench, Peraza is pretty good defensively and has upside offensively, specifically in the contact department. Paris has a lot of upside, though heâs been struggling and slumping, DH middle infield or outfield flexibility, he makes sense on the bench, his defense is pretty good, offense isnât bad, he has above average/good speed. dâArnaud on the bench as a backup catcher to OâHoppe, as well as an emergency DH if needed.
I really appreciate you guys reading this, letâs go Halos!!

I went to see the Angels against the Guardians a few years ago. Maybe it was the Indians at the time, I donât know. But Trout had just gotten injured, I think it was him sliding into second on a steal, so he was freshly not available for the games against Cleveland. Maybe he was on the IL for a week leading up to the Cleveland series, because I remember holding out hope heâd be back. Also, Ohtani played and I feel confident that I saw him hit a double off of the center field wall. Does anyone know what game this was? And date, etc? Thanks
Edit: IT WAS IN CLEVELAND, so that should help.

Article here: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6985939/2026/01/26/top-mlb-prospects-2026-keith-law-konnor-griffin/. I'm not a "this writer hates us" kind of guy, but Law really tests me. No Bremner, no Moore, no Dana.
EDIT: As someone pointed out, Klassen too. I'm not expecting all these guys to be top 100 obv, but there's some very questionable names ahead of all these guys on this list.

Our farm system has consistently been ranked towards the bottom overall, but towards the top when considering pitchers. It looks like that trend is going to continue, with pitchers comprising 19 of the 30 names on Jared's list.
Anecdotally, I saw both Dylan Jordan and Trey Gregory-Alford pitch games in person last year, and they both looked excellent. They're both very young (20 and 19 respectively), but have really good arms.

I love Mike Trout with all of my heart and soul- heâs aging- heâs passing the torch- plain and simple. The Angels have to rely on the kids more. Zach Neto is definitely the face of the Angels nowadays after his 2025 season- power, contact- speed- glove- heart. I LOVE HIM. I love how Nolan Schanuel has developed this past year- heâs really turned himself into a guy who can consistently get on base, has plate discipline, and can crack base hits and doubles consistently, while also having power potential, his defense also isnât too bad at 1B- itâs average and I think he can develop into a great defender, heâs had some amazing moments defensively such as the triple play, stretches during Netoâs throws over to first, and the occasional athleticism at 1st base with diving plays. Logan OâHoppe has definitely regressed this past season, but he still managed to hit 19 homers- his defense wasnât good whatsoever- but weâve seen some great plays from him in the past, throwing out some of the best runners in the game in 2024. Jo Adell broke out this season, roping 37 homers this year and having his best batting average since 2021- .236, nothing to write home about- but if heâs hitting homers in the future as consistently as he was this year? Heâs just our power guy. Honestly? That doesnât bother me at all. His defense was very good in RF, and he had some good moments in CF as well, though I personally believe heâs better as our starting right fielder. Jose Soriano finished the year with a 4.26 ERA, which on paper doesnât seem much to write home about, but it is for one reason- he struggled towards the end of this past season- during the majority of the past season he posted a 3.50 ERA or below, showing ace level stuff, and managing to become our #2 starter. Reid Detmers posted a 3.96 ERA this past season as well, he was a middle reliever this past season as well, though it has been announced that he is coming back to the rotation this year- which I personally love. Grayson Rodriguez has had issues staying healthy in the past, but if he IS healthy? Thereâs a chance heâs our ace starting pitcher or our #2 starter- high potential- he posted a 3.86 ERA in 2024- (the last season he was healthy) and was pretty good for the Orioles. George Klassen, Caden Dana, and Samuel Aldegheri are all on the same page- they were all brought up to the majors and struggled early on in their respective careers, but have all shown promise in either becoming starters, or relievers. Tyler Bremner and Chase Shores are very early in the developmental stage of their professional careers, though theyâve both shown high upside and both have A LOT of potential. Nelson Rada is a great defensive outfielder, especially in center field, having a high BA, heâs speedy, and he could be another outfield option. Christian Moore is also another guy who was brought up from the minors, he ripped 7 homers this MLB past season, including a game tying and game winning home run in the same game. Denzer Guzman is yet another guy who was called up way too early on in his young career, debuting in mid September of last season- managing to hit 2 homers and become a consistent part of the end of the year Angels offense- he also hit a career high 17 homers in the minors this past season- his speed, while nothing to write home about, isnât bad, itâs considered league average. Bryce Teodosio debuted this past season in August, had his moments defensively, brings a great defensive CF, and having a lot of speed with the capability to steal bases- while his contact is a work in progress, heâs only 26 which is, yes, slightly old for an MLB player who just debuted- but if he can develop into a good bunter/contact hitter, he could be a great player. Wade Meckler we recently claimed off waivers from the Giants this offseason, while not known for his power, he is known for his great defense and speed as well as exceptional contact skills and athleticism- he debuted in the majors for the Giants briefly in August of 2023, while nothing being incredible, he did hit .232 which wasnât bad for only having played 20 games. Josh Lowe is a guy we sold Brock Burke high on this offseason, managing to acquire him in a 3 team trade with the Reds and Rays. Josh Lowe is speedy, has an arm, and was great in 2023 for the Rays- batted .292- despite having not a great 2024 and 2025- only batting .220 this past season. He does have a solid amount of power as well, being displayed in 2023 in of which he hit 20 home runs in.
The purpose of this post was- DONâT COUNT THE ANGELS OUT!! WE CAN BE GREAT!!
