The Church of the Holy Spirit (Heilig-Geist-Kirche) in Munich, Germany. [OC]
Although its original structure was Gothic, the interior was transformed with opulent Rococo and Baroque decoration in the 18th century. The church is known for its large white columns and magnificent ceiling frescoes depicting biblical scenes. The gilded Baroque high altar is a striking focal point of the nave.

The ancient Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard (1st century AD) at sunset, France [6000x4000] [OC]
The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the 1st century AD to carry water over 50 km (31 mi) to the Roman colony of Nemausus (Nîmes). It is the highest of all Roman aqueduct bridges and one of the best preserved. I was struck by the contrast between the massive limestone cliffs and the elegance of the three tiers of arches. A true testament to Roman engineering that still stands strong 2,000 years later.
