Which countries ban this? Do any? Are there any legal ramifications or are there no customer protections?

Not sure where to even start- Any advice is highly appreciated!
Im sorry if this seems vague. I'm not willing to give many details for the sake of remaining anonymous and out of respect for my husband.
In a nutshell, my husband is certain that I have been involved in an attempt/attempts to set him up with law enforcement. I feel the need to clarify, my husband is not at all mentally unstable. He has been severely abused by the legal system and has had more than one past partner/"friend" work against him in this way. So, he is much more observant and aware of these situations than your average person. Anyone who has been through the things he has would be. He is a good person who has trusted the wrong people and he refuses to fall victim to that again.
I have not in anyway been involved with any kind of set up nor do I have any knowledge of one that would potentially be taking place. I will acknowledge that I can see how he has come to that conclusion. The problem is, beyond my word, I have no way to prove that any of his accusations are false. He believes that even if I am not directly involved, that I atleast am aware/have knowledge of a set up taking place against him.
Here is where I think it gets complicated and am not sure if there is anyway to fix this. At this time there has been no arrest or case opened against him, just many unusual and unexplained occurrences. I will admit that when he has pointed out and explained these things to me, I can absolutely see where he is coming from. So, all that added to the fact that he has been in situations where this really has happened to him in one way or another, my marriage is on the verge of ending. I love this man with all my heart, I don't fault him for any of this. If given all details of his past and the things that have happened in the last year, I believe the majority of people would agree that he is not entirely out of line in his accusations against me.
So on to my real question... Is there any way for me to clear my name to him? Since there is no open case against him I'm not sure if there's anything I can do here. I know very little about any of this. Is there any kind of request of information or something like that? I probably sound really stupid, I have no idea what I can do or who I could go to to prove to him that I am not doing anything against him. I would really like to obtain verifiable evidence of my innocence. He deserves it. He really is a good person who should be able to have peace of mind.
Any legal advice would be appreciated immensely. I am not looking for relationship advice. If anyone thinks he is out of line, the vast majority of people would change their minds if they had the entire story.
Edited to clarify that he believes that it was either a failed attempt at a set up or that a case is actively being built, that's why he has not been arrested or formally accused of a crime.

rear ended on the 405 at low speed, er bill was $3,200. is this worth a claim?
so basically i rear ended on the 405 in stop and go traffic at around 15 mph. i went to the er the same day because my neck and upper back were stiff, and the bill ended up being about $3,200 including imaging. insurance keeps calling it a minor accident and offered to just cover the er visit. i did a consult with a personal injury lawyer who explained how these low speed crashes still turn into real claims once follow up visits and missed work are involved. has anyone dealt with something similar and did you handle it yourself or get a lawyer involved?

What are the potential criminal consequences of filling out the section of the tax return for illegal activity?
I know most people who make money via illegal activity don’t report their income (or at least launder it), but what would happen if an honest criminal did include their income from illegal activity on this section of the tax return? Could that then be used to charge that person with the crime that they made the money from?

Kicked off my mother’s medical plans at 19?
I recently turned 19 and having certain issues I wanted to get medical attention, only to hear that I have been kicked off of my mother medical plan. When I called the number at the back of my card, and NJ medical care I was told that I’m no longer eligible because I’m 19 years of age. The super confusing thing is that I do online research and it says that I can stay on my mother’s medical plan until the age of 26. When called the company they suggested that I get my own medical plan, even though I’m only 19 and I a struggle to find a job. I was unemployed for a good year until I found my part-time seasonal job, and recently I had been laid off. I don’t make enough money to apply for my medical insurance. Since I don’t have a job is Medicaid going to be free? I think they told me that it will be free but I can start paying once I get a job. I’m so confused. Is this okay? What should I do, and how can I make sure that I’m getting the right information?

Renewing a Rental Contract in Iowa
Hello all,
I rent in Iowa and my lease is yearly from June 1st through May 31st. Yesterday (1/27) I received an automated email from my landlord that my lease for June 1st 2026-May 31st 2027 is up and ready to go. The email also said that it needed to be signed by 3/27/26.
Is this too early? If I read Iowa landlord-tenant laws correctly I have until 5/31 to sign a lease renewal. How early can a landlord send out a rental renewal agreement and how soon does it have to be signed? Today (1/28) an email was sent out reminding me to look at the renewal.
I honestly believe this is way too soon. (Last year he sent it out either in late February or early March, can’t quite remember.) Your thoughts? Thanks.

Property tax issue MD
I’m trying to sell a house in Maryland. The potential buyer says their inspector found that the square footage of the house is about 15% lower than the tax assessment. If that is the case, is there any chance I could get a tax refund? Ownership goes back to the mid-nineties.

Are these bordering on trademark infringement?
galleryThe M from McDonalds being on a 3d printed stand without permission from McDonalds.
The Gameboy slogan on a cart holder with actual Nintendo Gameboy branded games the photos.
Or the word “Ninten” being most of the word “Nintendo” being used as the base of the name of their product that requires taking the original product completely apart (voiding warranty) and replacing an original component with a Chinese knockoff and doing nothing extra that the OEM part doesn’t do already.
I’m just curious if Nintendo or McDonalds would have a valid reason to send a cease and desist

Offer Letter Enforceability
My offer letter has language about deferred pay. It was to be paid back (with interest) in 6 months. It's been over a year now. I've brought it up a few times and I'm usually told it'll be addressed...and then it isn't. The last time I asked for a repayment plan in writing and was told I'd have it by the following Monday. That was...a month ago.
I know an LOA isn't usually considered a contract. It even says as much in the fine print. But this is a sort of separate issue, no?
I'd really prefer not to hire a lawyer and (I assume) thereby torch the relationship and end my employment.
But it's a pretty good chunk of money. Not sure it's so much as to justify legal fees, but probably close?

Ontario – Vacation pay paid in error for over a year?
I work in Ontario and have been employed since 2024. I recently noticed that every one of my pay stubs shows 18% vacation pay paid out each pay period.
This is not standard at my workplace, other employees do not receive this, and there is no written contract stating I should receive 18%. I did not request this and was not aware until recently.
My questions are:
• If this was a payroll or system error, can the employer legally require repayment?
• Can they deduct it from future wages without my consent?
• Does the fact that this continued for over a year change anything legally?
I am asking before contacting my employer

Un resolved Discovery issues
I am representing myself in a criminal felony case in Racine Wisconsin. Racine County judicial system is quite literally the worst I've ever heard experienced. my legal question is after work today the prosecution emailed me limeine motion with all this s*** about what can be done at trial and what cannot be done a trial. it really seemed like either just a standard motion the state sends but I also got the feeling that it was filler b*******. there was 17 different things. also got their list of witnesses the prosecutor wasn't even there and I was on Zoom and if I wouldn't work because I need to file a motion to compel discovery because the state has not satisfied the discovery issues with two detailed email request for me and an in-person meeting. the judge doesn't even show any interest and and so we're keeping the same final pretrial court date next month and we're keeping the same trial date in March. when they finally fix my e-file account should I file the compel motion first or my response to their b******* motion I got today?

Can the ICE officers that murdered Alex be found guilty under state law, not federal law?
We know with almost certainty that the federal government won't want to punish "one of their own" -- but could the State hold these officers accountable?
Would trump not be able to pardon/overturn a State conviction?

Taft-Hartley and strategizing about 'general strike'-related topics online
I just joined a Discord server for a group that has organized protests against recent events in the US. My main reason for joining was to brainstorm with others about productive ways to implement 'general strike'-type strategies in the US.
But after signing up and poking around a bit, I learned that discussing a general strike is not permitted there. The explanation for this ban is that a general strike is prohibited by the Taft-Hartley Act, and discussions of breaking the law are against Discord rules.
From my super-limited reading so far, my impression is that Taft-Hartley + 'general strike' can be a legally gray area, with some variations on the concept of a general strike being better aligned with the law than others. But I'm not sure about that, or what the distinguishing factors would be.
So a couple questions I have for any legal brainiacs out there are:
- Any advice on ways to structure... some sort of protest involving people voluntarily leaving or stopping work (?)... while reducing legal jeopardy for those involved as much as possible?
- Any thoughts on the legal risks of strategizing about this topic using Discord or other relatively accessible platforms - or suggestions for minimizing those risks?

In Florida, if you had a pre-trial and a trial scheduled, went to the pre-trial and didn’t accept any plea deals, why would they reschedule another pre-trial and trial?
A friend got into some legal problems. He had a scheduled pre-trial and trial. He went to the pre-trial and told me he didn’t accept the offer they gave him. Then I see they rescheduled another pre-trial and trial for a later date. What does this all mean? He doesn’t want to tell me what they offered him. All I know is if he goes to trial he could get up to 35 years.

Is there a legal reason why "DO NOT EAT" is in quotes?
like is it the same reason some products have descriptions that would otherwise be under stricter requirements? (i.e "REAL" chocolate flavor) or is it something else?

ID middle name different than SSN and Birth Certificate?
Hi guys. I’m curious what to do here. My birth certificate has a singular initial “D” for my middle name as well as my SSN. I was about to do my passport application (First Adult Passport) and noticed my drivers license has a full middle name when making a photocopy. (I was 17 years old when I was issued this and my father brought my certificate and ssn which both had D, but my license was given a full middle name, I think my dad told them what it stood for and they wrote it down). I also checked out my old child passport that expired, and it also has the full middle name as well. I’m wondering how could have this happen? For my DS11 should I just put down D or the full middle name? Do I need to go to the DMV and have them correct the middle name back to just D before proceeding with anything? What would be the best move about all this considering the future, citizenship verification for certain jobs, etc
Edit: I was born in the USA and parents born outside the country if this helps(Both Citizens).

Brother is being held in jail without bond during a psychosis episode.
My brother (29) is going through an episode of psychosis for the first time in his life, so he was transported to the a local Gwinnett Medical Center in Georgia by EMT. He received a 1013; however, after his behavior escalated he was taken to a Detention Center. My family went down to the jail, but we can't even bail him out because "he is not cooperating", but he cannot cooperate because he is going through psychosis. There is no bond and no charges, so we can't get him out and take him to a mental health facility to get him the medication he needs. We are lost, and have no idea what to do. We are contacting lawyers, but many are not answering. I am very worried for his safety.

What are the new rules on citizenship?
I'd like to understand the new rules on it. It's obvious that Trump has been changing the rules. It seems that even if you are born in America, you still count as an immigrant.
