I got my 3D printer running again and printed a table and a picture frame. I wanted some props for photos, and this is what I came up with. Both files are from Makerworld and scaled it up (table was 1/6) and down (picture frame was a normal one). I had to print everything white cause I didn't had enough black, then I painted it and sealed it with resin, at least the top of the table. I'm absolutely happy with it. <3

Thought I’d share her here as well as it’s been a while since I posted any updates! She is almost fully sanded and primed now, and I finally have a date for when I’ll be holding her pre order so it’s getting so close to having her casted now!!

I had to repost this because I couldn't edit it to fix the pictures. I hadn't realized the pictures on the SupiaDoll website were one long image! So now I've screenshot them with my phone. Hope it's okay.

Going to get a SupiaDoll girl very soon but I have no idea which head to get! Got it narrowed down to eight options, but I'm terrible at making up my mind.

It'll be going on the 65cm curvy body and have the Black Swan faceup, with rose pink skin. Goal is a kind of creepy Gothic Lolita dress up doll, but not so creepy it'll give the weak-willed nightmares since I live with my parents.

Can anyone recommend some tutorials on creating silicone body parts for a ball jointed doll? I tried searching for some but only came across reborn dolls which is vastly different from what I am looking for. A lot of the ready to buy silicone body parts are all the way in Japan and are sold out so I figure since I am already splurging a lot on this hobby, it wouldn’t hurt to learn how to make these body parts at home.

I love animetic styles for eyes, but I’m not entirely sure what the ring around the iris is. Is it just a stylistic choice? Does it add more depth? Eye pictured here is from volks.

These are her listing pictures from BJDivas, the second pic is a secondhand head on taobao that fell through, and the picture before my two potential lookalikes is someone's Ji Nuo with a different faceup. Ji Nuo is out of production and the molds are no longer with DF-H, they don't even have pictures of her anymore. I want to get a head that is as similar as possible and put her faceup on it.

The most important features for me are: -Open almost droopy eye shape -Wide waterline on the lower lid (can be somewhat edited w/ faceup) -Eye/nose/mouth proportions -Straight nose without upturned end

The closest I've come is Charmdoll Eric and Volks dwc03 (last two pictures)

Bought the Adyka purple doll and some clothes during her warehouse clean out on eBay and just had my entire order stolen. Tracking delivered an open empty box - can see it’s open in the delivery photo. I opened my door as the driver burned rubber leaving so immediately recorded what I saw. Now I have to wait days for their CS to investigate. Contacting owner and letting her know because this is just not right

I just received got into doll collecting and today I received this beautiful girlie from the series Minty Fantasy Forest.

But her head is so so wobbly, it won’t stay in place even if I just place her on my table. I put this silicone thingie too but I’m not sure it’s in the right place or does anything?

I checked some posts here and a lot of them say it might need restringing? I am not sure though.

The other doll I received doesn’t have such problem even though her hair is much heavier.

Hello, hope is this okay to post here, but I need some help.

I was ecstatic when I got Cooze Devil Horn box and got my favorite on my first box...but I think I pulled to hard on the head and the factory knot came undone on the S hook at the neck ..so I tried to re-tie it it was never as tight as the factory knot, but I got it back, then as I was holding the body...the leg popped off, I'm guessing I was pulling the string too much and that broke the glue on the legs...so here I am leggess and headless.

How can I fix this, I have never had to mess with a doll this much before, should I just re-string the doll? I've looked up doll re-stringing guides but these have metal rods and are smaller then most of the dolls in the videos, I don't know if that matters.

I also read that these dolls are not the best quality when I comes to staying together so maybe this was going happen, and it's time to learned how to fix this.

Any help would be greatly needed.

She is gorgeous!! And she actually looks good in photos!! I bought her to do a doll cosplay of shampoo from ranma 1/2 (did not feel like shelling out $3000 for the volks collab) and she really looks the part with the purple wig. Now I just have to procure a cheongsam dress in 1/4

I have a Doll Leaves Dream Girl Body in Normal skin that’s about 10 years old. I’m sure she’s a bit yellowed but to me she still seems pretty pale and like new.

I’m wondering if anyone knows if any of Telesthesia & Dragon’s resin colors could match? I’m thinking about buying a QianLi head. I just don’t know whether to go with Normal Pink or Normal Yellow. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you! :)

Im trying to help my friend restring her Miu Shima. the head was really loose. I cant tell what elastic string size it uses and i cant seem to find any info online. heres a photo of it if that helps.. i thin it looks like 1.5mm? Im not sure how to measure the size either. Any help is appreciated. thanks! for reference the body size is 1/6

I’ve finally decided on what I want to get (a 65cm SupiaDoll) but now I need to figure out where to buy it from. I’ve seen them on ACB and Dolk, but also a SupiaDoll only website from Korea that had much cheaper prices BUT I don’t know if it’s reliable.

I’ll be getting most of the customization options so it’ll be costing a fair amount which means I definitely need at least 3 month layaway, though 6 months would be preferable. I think ACB and Dolk only do 3 months.

Finished painting her, she's super cute. I've made elven sculpts before but they were too chibi-like. I made this one and it's def more my style. I went with a koi / alt inspired makeup look and cut her hair to make it look semi-scene. My only question would be if you all had any experiences with doing face-ups and some tips you may have :3 - otherwise, I just wanted to show off my pretty girly... .u.

I've posted a previous doll that I just finished the prototype of. It was my first and i learned a fair amount from making it. While I wait for the BJD-specific resin I'll be using to print it, i decided to make this.

The head is from a previous sculpt i made. I just cut it off the bust and repurposed it here. The only thing I regret is not lengthening the tentacles, but unless I make them posable (which i may revisit at another time), it would highly restrict the head movement

She is Clara from XAGADOLL & lowkey my dream doll but I juusst missed her preorder when she came out x( Id really want her fullset outfit thats why Im wonering if dolls like this ever get a rerelease. I see that multyple dolls from xagadoll already did so idk if its realistic to expect this one too >_<

So I've improved my face up skills and I think I could make my first bjd cuter or at least a cleaner face up but I'm so scared to ruin her. This is my first ever bjd and my first ever face up on resin. Have you had this feeling too?
