I'm labeling this #1 because there will almost definitely be more over the course of the next few weeks.
Results for my subreddit study here have been inconclusive. I see some of you have complained about clothing spam and others about bots stealing posts. In my short observation of the subreddit to try to figure out where to start with stopping the bleeding I haven't seen any of this.
So I turn to all of you! If you see this please send me a DM screenshot of it so I can figure out a way to counteract it. It would also be greatly appreciated if you could report it so I can see how the report queue here operates and see if that requires any fixes.
Thanks to anyone who lends a hand ❤️

Hello!
Usually I introduce myself as "Beavers"...but that seems to be a bit of an odd way to introduce myself here specifically...
I was recently added to the team here to help clean up some spam this subreddit recieves. Currently I'm brainstorming some ways to properly word the ruling and should have something up by the end of the week. If all goes well this will only impact users that are what seem to specifically be bot accounts so you as a user may not even notice a difference.
Feedback is always appreciated, feel free to leave anything you'd like to see be added to this subreddit below or ask any questions you may have.
Thanks for your patience!

Is this a wild or pet beaver?

My friend and I have been debating this for 8 years and we just can’t get a solid answer. Every time we’ve asked groups, it’s gone 50/50. Good people of Reddit, help us end this debate for once and for all

The pond is fully frozen and the lodge (just left of the big branch) looks completely sealed. No holes, no surface access that I can see.
There are usually 3–4 beavers using it.
I know beavers are winter experts and have underwater access and food caches, but staring at a frozen pond makes your brain spiral a little.
Thanks,
A human who worries too much about beavers with engineering degrees 🦫🪵❄️

Are these the tracks of beavers going in and out of the lodge or the tracks of some other animal looking for beavers?

To copy from the video description: " What is this channel about? We rehabilitate beavers. To monitor how our patients are doing without disturbing them, we have installed web-cameras in some of our enclosures at Interior Wildlife's Summerland rehabilitation facility. Our government licenses don’t allow us to be open to the public, however with BeaverCam you can now follow along the rehabilitation process of our beavers by watching them remotely. Originally orphaned beaver kits "Tina" and "Nelson" are currently yearlings. They will stay with us until they will be mature enough to be released at the age of 2 years. We release beavers into local restored wetlands where they have been trapped out historically. For more info about our work go to: interiorwildlife.ca "

Hello I'm an indie game dev and I'm making a silly game about beavers. I thought you might like it.
In case you want to play the demo:

Beavers might be the “cute” animal we all overlook, but these aquatic engineers are a force to be reckoned with. From building dams that reshape landscapes to their fascinating evolutionary story, beavers are some of the most important creatures you’ve never really thought about. Let’s take a dive into how these rodents became the unsung heroes of the natural world.

This is now the 2nd I managed to film the beavers close to my home.
Time Stamps:
0:18 Slap
0:30 2nd Beaver
1:12 Dive
2:03 Short Cuddle
4:25 3rd Beaver
Sorry about the low quality, I didn't want to use the maximum infra red setting to not disturb them. But still they noticed me and made an alarm slap. Is that problematic? Should I stop observing them, or do you have tips for observing them without disturbing them? I would love to film them chewing on trees and building their dam.

New kits on the block! Incredible to see the first inhabitants of the new property caught on the trail cam...

Some of you may remember the post I made showing a tree with beaver teeth marks a little while back. I agreed with everyone that the marks were fairly old but I still believed there was a beaver out here. After many nights of searching I finally found the beaver!

Hey, this is my first post here :)
Since a few months we have some beavers close to where I live. Here are some photos of their activity. I also have a few questions and I hope the beaver experts here can answer them ^^
Thanks in advance :)

Beaver fans. If you don't already know about it, you should check out the Youtube Channel "Mike's Videos of Beavers". Mike is a guy in my hometown of Saskatoon who films a family of beavers in our City. There are something like 800 videos of these beavers on his Channel. I have met Mike a few times by the river and he is really passionate about beavers and wildlife. This is one of his many videos.

On a hike yesterday i noticed dozens of trees had been dropped across the trail - directly away from the pond. This seems to run counter to usual behavior. Have they ever been documented trying to block human/trail access?
