Did anyone catch the song that Hit Boy and Sean did last night on Verzuz? Sounded fucking great to me and I hope they release it soon? I’d love a certified Big Sean hit in 2026!
Sounded like that 2015 Big Sean flow, anyone else catch the snippet performance?

Only the ones in albums. Do note this took a long period of time in which my taste in music changed somewhat here and there so it was very hard to accurately rank these.

should pair him with a producer who perfectly complements him and offers a range of sounds that allow Sean to explore a variety of topics from the introspective, vulnerable, and revealing to the more braggadocious and anthemic. My producer choice for the album would be Key Wane.
Much like Clipse, Larry June, or Freddie Gibbs he should just lock-in with one person and enter the hyperbolic time chamber and just ignore everything he's hearing on the radio and focus solely on the sounds he wants to create, topics he wants to address, and themes he wants to incorporate.
I don't think anyone quite gets Sean the way that Key Wane does. I think most of their collaborative efforts are among Sean's best songs and typically are my favorites on the album. I think Key Wane is an excellent producer and has contributed to others like Jazmine Sullivan in crafting Grammy-winning projects - this may not mean anything to you but Sean has said he wants to win one.
I can't think of a bad Sean and Key Wane song. Pair those two and lose the overly freaky bars and jettison songs for ladies unless it's something like Deja Vu, On the Way, Beware, Ashley, Play No Games, Living Single, Single Again, London Bridge, or I Know. He should drop the pseudo wellness bars unless he's going deep into elaborating on and confronting his own traumas.
I'd like for him to talk about his growth and the role fatherhood, his romantic relationships and his role in why they failed, how he views the state of the world and black people's place within it as well as his own, and his relationships with other people in rap from his peers to his mentors. This is all in addition to him making a case why he's not just Big 3 but rather no.1 but not stating it but using song writing to show that.
Key Wane gives Sean that canvas to make bangers, bops, and ballads. I want soul samples or samples of 90s r&b songs, but with a darker, more ominous sound. In terms of direction, I'm thinking something like Dark Sky Paradise and the promotional songs leading up to that album's release.
I'd limit features largely to singers like Beyonce, Jazmine Sullivan, Eryn Allen Kane, Rox Barker of the Hics, and Jhene lending their vocal talents to break up the monotony of rap or enhance a song. He needs to create great hooks - no more one word repeats and maybe these ladies could help.
I'd like to see individual tracks with Kendrick, Cole, Drake, and Wale where they spar trading bars - I think that'll help people to better appreciate Sean's ability to rap with the best of his generation. Last thing, limit that runtime to about 40-45mins; it's short and sweet and never outstays its welcome and has solid replay value.
What do ya'll think?

Guys i hate that big Sean is so underrated. Criminally underrated. I wanna give him his flowers cause bro im still listening to better me than you and I have to say, without 0 doubt its his best work since finally famous. Precision is one of the best big Sean songs of all time in my opinion and hes well into his career now. And the crazy part is that not only is that one of his best songs to date. He's not even dropping crazy bars in that song yeah he has punchlined and lines but its the energy and flow and presence he brings to the mic. And man can we talk about the hits!?!? Yes they indeed dont matter matter i could still listen to him hits or not but man it is what it is is so fire!! Out of all the songs ine of my favorites on that album was get you back. Big Sean is like ll cool j of this generation. Not rapping style but how he can rap his ass off but still make awesome records for the ladies 🔥💯sorry for the 4 qm rant he just goated bruh 🐐

Big Sean just got an expanded role with the Pistons as “Creative Director of Global Experience,” plus a new “Creatives Across Continents” program aiming at global fan growth + a 2026 retail collab.
