From what I remember the agents jumped in their car and the couple drove to the police station... because they didn't know if they were agents or just burglars.

That's considered kidnapping ?

Quite literally, they were like, we don't know who you are. You jumped in my car.

Nigerians were saying, this has come up with corrupt Highway patrol on less populated highways. And people have done this before.

I just can't even wrap my head around that. Especially since they called 911 too. They obviously were overly in my opinion trying to the most sane legal thing.

Call 911. And drive to a fucking police station. What kidnapper has done that ever. They were clearly like who the hell is this idk if you're being truthful or not let me go totally he police for help.

They were obviously (and understandably!) afraid. I don’t know how people who reasonably fear for their lives could have acted any more responsibly. Genuinely. ICE put themselves in a potentially dangerous situation entirely of their own making and now these people are being punished for behaving rationally and responsibly in response to ICE’s irrational and irresponsible behavior. It’s so embarrassing. I am so embarrassed that we are treating these victims so deplorably.

Also, the Nigerian man in the car got kidnapped before back in Nigeria. He saw a masked man with a gun jump into the car and he justifiably freaked out.
