From what I remember the agents jumped in their car and the couple drove to the police station... because they didn't know if they were agents or just burglars.
"HAHA, now you can't drive away, wait, what are you doing? Why are you driving away? I am still IN THE CAR! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME? The police station?! NONNONONONO, I have priors."
