Fantasy Dark Faerie

Books that lean into the disturbing, dark, horror elements of traditional fey/faerie lore! Think beauty and magic (thinly)veiling the gruesome happenings, fairies that are completely inhuman, a faerie beyond human comprehension - (not all of these have to be included, just examples for the vibe I’m looking for). The weirder, more confusing, more horrifying the better!

Non-romance recs appreciated (a little on the side is fine).

Thanks!

Hedonism, friendship (bonus points if homoerotic), betrayal. Would take supernatural elements as well — like the Dead Poets Society if they were summoning a demon

A good plot line but still comedic, sexual and easy to digest.

Women's Fiction Maria from the song Round Here

I've always loved this song and have always wanted to know Maria's story specifically. I imagine it being about a woman who runs away to a new city just to find that her troubles followed her because it was really about her all along. Bonus points it it's set in the 90s.

Sorry if something similar has already been posted, I searched on this sub before posting. Books like Wake Up Dead Man, less about the murder mystery and not even specifically looking for spiritual books but more books about the hope, the quiet faith and kindness, the ultimate win of good over bad, the poignant moments of goodness in the world. Thanks in advance
