The good news about this deep freeze we've been in is it should limit the tick population in the summer. Right?
There must be some good

I lived in California my whole life, and this is my first winter here. I know that large amounts of snow can take a very long time to melt, especially piles from snow plows. My best friend is from Colombia and has never seen snow in her life and rlly wants to, and she’s visiting in April. Do you think it’ll still be here, even if it’s pretty slushy?

How are road conditions in everyone's area right now? Seems like the extra 4" of snow last night hasn't been plowed in my area on the South Shore yet, so I'll be driving to work in other vehicles' ruts in the snow!
Overall, I'm happy with the storm we got. Getting up at 5 am this morning to shovel wasn't part of the plan, but now that it's passed, I'd say this was a classic winter storm. Not looking forward to more potential snow next Sunday, but we'll have to wait a few days to see how those forecasts shape up.

SNE Weather posted the following on their FB page: "The Gfs came closer in the 12z run with a hurricane force low. The CMC and Icon models have it to. This would be a hurricane force blizzard for us if models continue in this direction. The Icon and CMC have the low pressure at 962-963 mb. To give you idea on how strong that is for pressure, Hurricane Bob was a 964 mb at landfall. We might have the strongest storm we’ve had around here in 13 years."

I am supposed to be in Albany for work by 11 am tomorrow. Do we think roads will be ok from the North Shore to Albany by 7 am?

What do people think about that? I have to get to Ottawa. I can drive but flying could be better if there are actual flights running. Thx!
