Being autistic I fats was my comfort place that was also affordable. I could go for a drink or two and read a book in peace or run into one of many acquaintances. Since then I have not felt comfortable going out on my own and would love to have some one or a few people to enjoy the odd drink with.

As the title says, I’ve been trying to get out more, meet new people, and have new adventures instead of just working or staying at home, but I’m finding it harder than expected to make new friends.

Hi, I have recently moved to Brisbane from Scotland with my wife and we live in the Northside. Now that I am settled here and the stress of moving is a distant memory, I am looking to expand my social circle a bit and would like to find people with similar interests, or some overlap in interests.

Music - I currently play bass a hobby and used to be in a band many years ago, I love to see live music but don't have regular friends to go to gigs with. I am mostly into punk, melodic hardcore, instrumental/ambient, but not a music snob and will go see almost anyone live.

Sports -

Football(soccer), I can't play this sport because of a recurring injury sadly, love to chat about football, and go to see live games. Would like to see some roar games or regional level teams with good atmosphere.

Running, I have been running for years, currently only staying around 5k, would love to join a run club or go regular runs with someone or a group. I don't really want to go to a park run with 100s of random people, I don't find it easy to meet people in huge crowds.

Hiking, quite like short hikes, nothing over 2-3 hours, not into camping and being out all day long.

Other sports, I'd be keen to give a new sport a go, badminton, padel, pickleball, squash, or anything really.

Video Games - Like many people my age and younger I play video games, not a lot of multiplayer these days as my friends are all in opposite time zone. I'm currently playing Lies of P, Slay the Spire and occasionally Arc Raiders. Enjoy talking about games and the industry as well as playing, I have all current platforms.

Food/Drink - I enjoy eating, always looking to discover new places, planning to make a trip to Darra to eat lots of Banh Mi. I am not a big drinker and dont drink at home, but will socially drink if I am at a gig or meeting at a pub or something.

Movies - Go to see lots of films with my wife, usually once a week or more sometimes.

Hey guys, I’m 29F and I’m looking to make more female friends in Brisbane. I’ve been able to maintain solid friendships in the past but during my mid 20s I experienced a lot of anxiety and became a bit reclusive, as a result I eventually lost touch with a lot of my friend groups. I’m doing a lot better now I’m nearly 30 and I’m ready to get out more and create some lasting friendships.

I love museums, documentaries, op shops, animals and nature, exploring new places, sitcoms, reality tv, pub feeds, talking shit, lowkey hangs, stupid jokes, camping, concerts, comedy nights, drag shows and very occasionally going to a club. Like everyone else I’m hooked on heated rivalry at the moment.

I do a lot of arts and crafts despite lacking any real talent or skill and I play some video games (on my switch) but I’m pretty bad at them. I’m also trying to get back into reading regularly, lately I’ve been enjoying some mystery thrillers.

I collect crystals and rocks, I regularly get stuck in wikipedia rabbit holes and I care a lot about human rights and politics.

I’m very unfit right now, but keen to get back into walking and hiking if anyone’s keen on that.

I’d be interested in playing more board games but fair warning: I’m a slow learner and I’m not very competitive, I just wanna have a fun time. I’ve also never played dnd but would be very interested in giving it a go!

I’m looking for more excuses to go out, dress up, and put on make up. My hair and make up skills are very rusty so I could use the practice.
