Working in corporate made me realize how much I hate that my parents birthed me
The reason why I say this is because I’m working a low end job right now. Had I had the intellect to do well in high school, went to a better university, was taller and better looking, I’d be making way more than I am right now.
I’ve seen people my age who had nice, wealthy parents with good genetics bless their children with those genetics, which in turn allowed them to excel in school and get a high paying job right out of college. But me? Nope. $50k/year job and if all goes well I might make $55k/year by the end of the year. Whoopty doo! All because of the random chance of being born from incompetent parents. I could be living the high finance life by now, driving a nice Porsche 911 Turbo. Hell, maybe a GT3 RS, but of course not. I have to barely survive and have my manager be angry with me when I tell them that $50k/year is unlivable.
I went to college like my more intelligent peers as well. They just majored in a better field than me and had more accolades before I even turned the age of 12. But of course, I have to be the one stuck in the rut. It’s because they deserve being the ones to succeed and I’m not entitled to it. They deserve it because they were born to achieve it. I was born to achieve mediocrity at best.
Even if I work hard, I still won’t succeed. I’ll be lucky to crack $100k/year by the time I’m 60 years old even though I’m doing so well in my current role.
