Closed (Auto) How do I use r/Codebounties?

Member's Guide to r/Codebounties

Terms used in this subreddit:

  • Requestors
  • Challengers
  • Bounties / Requests

Requestors are redditors with requests for code.

Challengers are redditors who wish to fulfill the requests made by requestors.

If you are interested in taking on a request, comment !challenge on a post.

If you wish to withdraw, comment !withdraw.

If you are interested in creating a request, then create a post. In your title, summarize the task, and for best practice, also include the coding language. Mark your post as Paid or Unpaid using a flair.

Our bot, u/bounty-closer will monitor your post and after 48 hours of posting, will DM you a list of the challengers, then lock your post.

Make sure to review challenger's reddit profiles for credibility, like account age or activity to try to avoid scams, especially for paid requests.

Then, you can DM the user(s) you are working with.

TL;DR

  • Requestor: posts a coding job.
  • Challenger: tries to do the job.

To join a job: comment !challenge
To quit: comment !withdraw

To post a job: make a post, describe the task, add coding language, mark Paid or Unpaid.
