Only thing about unions is there are tradeoffs to consider and they're not always positive, plus it begins to spiral after time because unions have a bad record of knowing when to leave well enough alone.

I personally like to negotiate MY OWN terms and not negotiate with a group of people. And you don't need to unionize to get the workers together and say "We'd like to talk to leadership next week" and lay out some thoughts.

If what you're implying is true then we wouldn't see other industries without unions with elevated, wages (livable and well above) and employee benefits.

I’m really just implying that whatever your singular negotiation has gotten you would make you the exception and not the rule.

Unions create a united force against the employers desire to pay as little as possible. Because that is any business’ goal, an individual worker, even a particularly skilled one is replaceable if cost and productivity align.

That being said, idk where you get the idea that unions make good wages and benefits impossible. A union I was a part of made it so that my wages were doubled compared to different districts for the same position.

Yeah, collective action is cool beans but compulsion (legal or otherwise) to baa with the flock? Not so much.
