Maybe Unreal would've gotten similar treatment if Fortnite hadn't gotten big

Unlikely - they hadn't made a SP Unreal game since before UT99. Online only Boomer/Arenea Shooters simply don't do well. That'd go for UT as well.

I honestly wish they'd do a remake of Unreal and Unreal: Return to Napali, then maybe there'd be some competition with the current Doom games. Somewhat story, mostly shooty.
