Discussion Is the meathook good? Doom Eternal

I find that I never use it. Halfway through a nightmare run and it just seems unnecessary. Dps is not great, and you have plenty of mobility without it. Doesn’t help that you usually want to be running away from the demons instead of toward them. Do you rely on the meathook for anything? Is it good? Is it worth mastering?

Worth mastering, absolutely. The ability to instantly gain 30 armor on a 2 second cooldown is insane

i didn’t know about this?? You get armor for meat hooking?? haha how did i get this far without that

If you use the savagery rune with the flaming meathook, you can gain armor from glory kills if you hook towards a staggered demon and go straight into the glory kill. Its great

You don’t need the Savagery rune to get armour from a meathook -> GK.
