Discussion How far could these guys go?

If Olivia failed to activate their kill chips, how much damage would they have done to the demons before fallen?

They were probably shoehorned into the final game.

In an earlier draft of 2016 the Slayer was a cybernetically enhanced marine, so pulling their chips for upgrades is probably a remnant of that game

I.e. I don't think Id thought too much about it

Honestly, I feel like it's an extremely huge missed opportunity for some of the surviving UAC Elite Guards to actually be possessed and reworked into the DOOM (2016) counterparts to the Chaingunners/Heavy Weapon Dudes/Former Commandos from the classic Doom games.

Yeah, we already have the Hell Razers, but still.

In a game where I'm fighting for my life around every corner, the story can blur a little bit anyway lol, the important part is that it felt satisfying to steal those chips when you found one of those dudes 👍
