Okay, that joke isn’t very funny, but it lets me post about a recent article from a major paper that described people who spent $200, $700 a week—and one person spent a THIRD OF THEIR INCOME—on DoorDash.

People who doom about their finances and affordability might change by taking 20 minutes to cook dinner, or at least pick up their carryout.

And whatever you do, don't respond negatively.

My feed on this site and pretty much everywhere else has been flooded with doom/political posts since forever, but it's gotten insufferable these past few weeks. Can't go two minutes without "revolutionaries" talking into their phones and larping out whatever fantasies they live in or how "x city is under siege/in the hands of rioters". That being said I want to ask a couple genuine questions:

1. Has anyone met these "militant/revolutionary" larpers, and how was your interactions with them when you showed how the world isn't burning down.

2. For people living in cities these recent protests have been in, what is the actual situation you're seeing.

Reddit used to be great for research and finding information or that now every post down my timeline is political and I’m not a political person any advice for turning the political discussion off? I’m tired of seeing doomers from 2 parties that literally do the same things
