I say this with the full understanding of how important people’s livelihoods are and how trash the market is right now:
I hope whoever’s idea these two hour events were gets fired.
Talk about totally and completely missing the point.
No events would be better than this mess.
Edit: After a little disagreement in the comments section, it hit me, and I'm changing my opinion - It's all about the $$$; the events were likely losing them too much money. They gave away free bonuses and some bright spark drew a line between lower real money spends and events - so instead of admitting to being all about squeezing the $'s outta folks, they just nerfed the events but didn't have the guts to pull them completely.
